My dad told me to do the dishes, so I turn on my iHome to play deadmau5 right when I started. And I'll be the first one to say it, deadmau5 helps me get through the day! Within 12 minutes, the dishes were done and I felt so accomplished. I don't know why but while listening to this holy music, I was getting it done faster and much better than I usually do with the dishes. (It might sound like I love doing the dishes, but I totally hate doing them yet someone's gotta do it)

What do you think about doing dishes while listening to music? Does it help you? If so, name music you listen to while doing the dishes.

For me I listen to deadmau5 which equals Heavenly Godness

I have got a dish washer, but music helps with other activities that I do.

The big one is the gym, everyone needs music at the gym. Otherwise you just think about the pain!

Never heard of who you listen to, but I tend to listen to a lot of heavy music. My playlist earlier today was Kittie and Deftones.

Back in WW2 the BBC used to broadcast special programmes for the workers, after it was discovered they helped boost productivity.

And I know from personal experience that boring or menial jobs pass a bit quicker if there's something to take your mind off them.

The downside is working in a place where the majority want to listen to something you hate, like [in my case] Radio 1 or, worse, your local radio equivalent. That just adds another twist to the torture...

Washing the dishes is such a drag, I never do it without music. I also generally wait until I have a nice pile of dirty dishes so it takes me about at least half an hour. Suits me better then doing it every evening for sure.

Oh man, don't get me started! I actually became glad the machines at my work made such a noise (had to wear earplugs as well) :D

i like to listen to music when im doing alot of things like dishes, cleaning, painting or just layin outside watchin the clouds go by. my daily life usually has a soundtrack to it. specifically when i clean or do dishes the flaming lips help the chores go by a bit quicker. :2thumbsup:
