the first book I ever read by myself without help was Bears on Wheels...I also liked Bears in the Night...both by Jan and Stan Bearestain I believe
I loved the Ramona and Beezus Quimby books by Judy Blume. The Fudge books were great, too. I also was a big fan of the Babysitter's Club series (and the little books about Kristie's little sister Karen) and the Boxcar Children. I looooved the Boxcar Children and wanted to live in a boxcar. Haha.
