Jones Town, The Calling..... Journal entry 1. (generic date) Something has been moving me for the past year... Something fascinates me about what happened in Guyana 33 years ago With that charismatic Cult leader guy and his followers... Every since I played with that ouijee board at Todds house I've had an inclination to go to Guyana, even dreams... So I have decided to catch a flight down there and do some investigating of my own.. I'm curious to see if I can find any relics left behind... although I'm sure it's all been gathered up as evidence by now... Or scavanged by the locals... But still...I must go...this voice in my head keeps telling me too.... My flight leaves at (generic time) I'll be flying out of the San Francisco Air-port I'm excited and nervious...haven't flown in ages I'm going down there all alone... Ok, I'm on airplane now boy that security check guy was ridiculious... he didn't have to go up my pants like that... what was that all about?...oh well... I'll just lay back now and enjoy the flight, and go over my notes... should be there shortly... To be continued....
Continued from above... Todds apartment.... "Todd, I can't believe you let Corey fly down to Guyana all alone!?" Oh relax Jill, he's a grown kid now, he can do what he wants... "Ye, ok, some friend you are...you promised his Parents you'd look after him, before they died in that awful train accident...ye sure they left the kid with a ton of money...but he's still young and needs guidance..." Journal entry day 2 Oh my gosh...are we there yet... Got held over in Mexico city... And security guard there got odd with me too... What's with these airport security guards?...oh well... We'll be landing in Guyana here shortly... In the mean time I'll go over some notes... Ok, let's see...Jim Jones.... Charismatic cult leader... He led the 'Peoples Temple Church'...hmm And somehow convinced around 900 of them to... Follow him to a small English speaking South American Nation... Located next to the Atlantic on the NE part of South America... Ok...but why would he lead them here?? And what's with these dreams I've been having lately?? I've gotta go to the bathroom before we land... I'm getting kinda nervious now... To be continued...
Todds apartment... "Hey Todd"... Ye Jill? "What made Corey want to go down to Guyana?" I don't know...about a year ago he came over here drunk..and pulled out that stupid ouijee board... Started playing with it...I was busy watching football... I went to the bathroom...and when I came out, he was in a odd trance or something...mumbling... I just figured he was really drunk and about to pass out... So I let him be...but after that, all he would talk about is this Jim Jones guy... Ok, for one, are you crazy?!...ouijee board..hello..duh... I hope you through that thing out... Come on Jill, it's just a stupid game, no different Than playing Monopoly... "Todd...sometimes you can be so...so...never mind..." Well have you heard from him yet? Has he called? Relax...he's only been gone a day and a half... "Todd?..." Journal entry 3... Ok, I'm hot, wet, frustrated, Everyones staring at me... Ok, now I know what it's like to be a pale minority... I only weigh 150...I need a bodyguard... And the security guard guy once again went crazy on me! And now I've gotta catch one more flight to the NW jungle area Where they think Jones Town was located... Ok wait a darn minute what is this piece of crap airplane?! Are we going back to WWI?! The plane looks to big for the propeller... I do not want to crash on my way there... Ok, someone hold my hand please...I do not want to die.... Journal entry 4 We're here...on final approach...it's going to be a rough landing... There's no turning back now... After we land, I'll be on my own... there's a small tourist villiage 3 miles from the strip... But I've got all that I need for now with me... So as soon as we land...I'm hitting the trail... Not sure where this place is...but I've been told That it's about a 3-4 hour hike by foot west of air strip... Gotta go, just touched down... . . . . . . . .

"Todd, I've been doing some reading up on this Jim Jones character And, well...the guy was a phycopath with money and a following" "He led a Church from This area, down into the jungles of Guyana where they lived for about a year before things really deteriated" "I found an old article about him and his Temple followers... Sounds like he abused them, took advantage of them." What was that hon... The games on right now...can't hear ya.... Yes! touchdown...go Saints... "Todd...listen to what I'm saying...this guy was a suicidal madman who convinced 900 of his followers to end their lives in a mass suicide" "So why would Corey be interested in such a fella... And why is he headed down there?" I told you already... After he played with that ouijee board, he became interested in the man...probablly want's to write a book or something.... Heck, if I were young like him And inherited a large trust fund, I'd be off on some crazy adventure too... "You don't think this guy's communicating with Corey from the dead or something?" Day 4 Hey wait!...who are you? Wait!.... Journal entry 6 This strange person has been calling out my name But they won't ever stop.. I'm getting a bit creeped out... They won't stop, and are always gone when I get around the corner or bend... See, there it is again...they just called my name... Oh crap.... The sun is setting now...it's getting dark... I have no idea where I'm at... I kept following that person, and now I'm lost... Where am I going to sleep? Cell phone won't work out here... Maybe this wasn't such a good idea...
