At the age of 63, Gerry Rafferty died today... Best known: his one major hit "Baker Street" (1978) and his song "Stuck in the middle with you" (1972), with the band Stealer's Wheel. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OPxs212oAyU"]YouTube - Gerry Rafferty 'Baker Street' (1978) Wiggling bare toes, ~*Ganesha*~

It was also the focus of a weird urban myth - that it was played by gameshow host Bob Holness. It wasn't [not even sure Holness could even play a sax] but it still occasionally appears in quiz questions. How the idea ever took root in the first place, no-one seems to know. I remember Night Owl being as big as Baker Street - a staple of late-night radio for years. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0oKR2WfquO8"]YouTube - Gerry Rafferty - Night Owl

Sorry to hear about Gerry. I have to admit though, I got confused for a second and thought that John Fogerty had died. Good thing he's still around! Let's show some appreciation for John while he's still alive!
