What did everyone eat tonight? It's just me and my cousin's 5 yr old here right now. (i'm babysitting) She claimed that she was hungry so I cooked some rice. Warmed up some leftover homemade spaghetti sauce and added chopped onions, canned peas & garlic salt...to pour over the rice. She is taking forever to eat it and even tried to give it to the dog. Maybe I'll see if she wants the baby carrots to dip in yogurt.
I had veggie soup followed by chilli hummus on oat cakes. I don't have time to eat properly during exams.
I had some tasty green curry with cocunut milk, snow peas, peppers, celery, carrots, ginger, etc...Although it was my first time ever making curry and it was literally like a 5 star dish..the spiciest dish I've ever eaten in my life! It took me over an hour just to eat it, not to mention glass after glass after glass of water...wheww!! It was so delicious though..I'm very impressed with those little jars of "green curry paste" really make it taste like a restaurant. mmmmm..
tread carefully with those jars! my son will be cooking tonight (yay Life Skills class!) last meal was for the omnis and this one's for mom. Tonight: whole wheat Spag with home-made sauce, foccacia with roasted garlic spread, and green salad/roasted veggies (I'm thinking they'd be better in the cold.) some dessert and special drink as part of the assignment. needs to be three courses. The kid cooks well, and likes to experiment. Most have been good, all were edible. he makes a mean dal in the pressure cooker.
Last night, I made veggie enchiladas for my carniverous high school buddy. A great guy, but he hates vegetables. It was a challenge to cook for him. As he had seconds, I think it went very well. Earthfriend, I make a mean curry! I have never made coconut curry before, though. Could I get the recipe from you? Sounds yummy!
this isnt totally vedgy but it dos the trick. I didnt feel like cooking last night, took me about 15 minutes to cook this. shrimp stirfry on rice bean sprouts, boc choy, ginger, garlic, water crest, brockaly, oyster sause, soy sause, tigerprawns, minute rice, and some olive oil for the stir fry
a soggy egg sandwich on the train home It cost waay too much for what it was! I should've made myself something this morning I guess... (very jelous of the green curry posted earlier!!)
I am making my family veggie nachos with kidney bean chilli, salsa and gucamole. I can't believe it - not only did my strictly carnivore dad like it the first time I made it, he actually went and bought some dried beans and corn chips and specially requsted that I make it for him. Madness!
The voice of human evolution has spoken. I am going to drop my vegetables and go out and get me a harley and a shotgun.
Ha ha yeah...I read this atricle a long time ago where this vegan fellow was complaining about "Dopey fat guys" who always make some dumb crack like the People for eating tasty animals one and then yuk away....So now everytime I see/hear it I think of a really dumb fat guy sitting on a bus and laughing a slobbery laugh like this: "teth th th th th t'ha th th heh (fart)". I had cabbage yesterday and will again today. Also on the menu for the near future is cabbage and lentil soup with TVP. It was a really big cabbage.
well...for lunch i had some yummy pierogies....and tonight i'll have leftover black olive and green pepper pizza for dinner
whereas I never have anything to eat, ever... i may eventually have to learn to cook, or go grocery shopping, or at least find a good veggie restaurant. I've been living for 2 days on rice milk and pistachios; it's getting old...
Whatever Shelly & the boys want! But! This being the Vegetarian forum, I'm making Eggplant Parmesian. BEG me for the recipe!
Last night my cousin brought home some little single serve veggie pizzas. She also fried up lots of sliced onions & copped potatoes...when they were about done she put sliced cheese over it.
haha!! that silly matt i made wild rice quesadillas mixed wild rice with cheese and salsa and cilantro, put it on a small (7 inch) tortilla and put chopped vegetables, onions carrots and zucchini on top, sprinkled a bit more cheese on top and fried in a frying pan for a few minutes it was soo good
eggplant parmesan was the first worst dish I ever made on a date night. you know the drill. undercooked eggplant that wasn't adequately salted either... veggie gravel with a splash of inedibly bitter. you both smile and attempt to eat it anyway. forget romance. you're both racing for the loo. oh the horror!
