Which one did you like better and why. We all know the ending of Devils Rejects is the best, but besides that reason why did you like the movie or think it was better.
House, ftw. Awesome gore. Disfigured burn victims. Slut mums. But Sherri Moon Zombie always plays the same part in all of her movies.
Devil's Rejects because Sheri Moon is so damn cute and funny. "Chinese, Japanese, dirty knees, look at these." and i liked how i almost felt bad for them towards the end of the movie.
I love Sheri Moon Zombie. She's gorgeous for a 40 yr old. And I liked Devils Rejects a lot. Perfect way to end the movie. It was epic.
Holy hell. She's 40?! I don't know why I like DR more than Corpses. I just do. But yes, that ending is about the best is history.
Awesome i personally like house of 1000 because it was Raw and Gorey ... I love Dr. Satan and the story of the crazy family kinda like Texas chainsaw. Cant wait to see if Halloween 1 is better then Halloween 2
Love em both, but Devil's Rejects takes it because of the "Freebird" sequence. Go see H2, much better than H1. Rob does a good job of really taking the original franchise and pushing it in his own direction, it feels more like it fits in with the world he created in House than the original Halloween series. If you aren't sure you wanna see it, you gotta see this trailer that Rob himself cut, it'll sell you on this. RZ puts some great music in his flicks, too.
If you think Sheri Moon Zombie has portrayed the same character in all her movies you haven't been paying attention. As for the thread's question, I chose TDR. I love both, but I love the feel of TDR more as it stands and it's a really awesome movie with so many great actors (i.e William Forsythe, Danny Trejo, Bill Moseley, etc.) and I thought it was really well done. I just wish Tyler Mane had more screentime in it.
id say that devils rejects was better, but you have to admit that 1000 corpses was more of a "raw" movie.
Hmm....kind of a tough one. I love both movies & I'm a big fan of Rob Zombie in general. I love the feeling of the first, but the second one seems all around better. It has better writing, & it feels more gritty. That's not to take anything away from Corpses, but TDR just seems like the more well rounded film of the two.
Not true at all. She wasn't playing the same part in the first Halloween. Somehow being a psychotic killer with no remorse doesn't really seem like it's similar to being a struggling mother trying to make ends meet, or being a ghost mom who was created as a part of your son's psychotic imagination. If all of those are similar then let the Devil fuck me sideways & drag me to death. :eggnog:
I think comparing the two was kind of a reflection of him growing as a director or writer and or both... House of 1000 corpses was his first big film endeavor...I think... So it was probablly a learn as you go type production... The second film felt more 'refined'...better over all quality, better acting, better cameras, lighting ect ect... I just wish he had left some of those people alive so he could of made a 3rd movie...
both pretty equally stupid. can kinda tell rob zombie hasn't associated with anyone halfway intelligent in a long time. dude doesn't seem too bright himself either. entertaining movies nonetheless though.
I like HOTC because of it's more "animated" feel & I like TDR for it's more gritty & realistic feel. All in all, I'd say TDR is probably the better written film of the two, & the more entertaining one of the two as well.
I said house. Question, i once saw a movie, it was a very long time ago before house of 1000 corpses was made... I am not sure but i think it was called Dr. Satan and it had the same basic story line as house of 1000 corpses.. It appeared to me that it was filmed in the 70's.
