Tell me what you think of this logo

Does this look alright? I'm still gonna fix it up a bit to mix in the actual logo. This wouldn't be the actual artwork for a CD or anything, I just wanna print it off or make a small poster or something. Does it look cool? The graphics are obviously stolen, that's why I only want it to give to the band.

I'm in charge of every god damn thing in this band it seems, I don't even know how to use photoshop but here I am making logo's. Holy fuck, these guys asked me to be in their band, and I'm the one doing all the work... Fuck, I'm basically just doing this for my own name, but this is getting ridiculous, I book their shows, I get the gear, and I still have to record the whole demo for them.... Fuck me.... I'm so god damn busy, maybe this is why I haven't recovered from my cold.... Constantly working.

I'm reading a whole bunch of articles on photoshop, I've always wanted to get into designing, doesn't hurt to dip my stick into a little bit of everything.

 

yeah . you have to pick your area of expertise before you go on stepping on all the toes that make it work for you.. youll become a grumpy fuck and it will not be much fun to you,..
If your friends and band mates can come up with stuff too. build something together or else it becomes an All mine mine mine "my band" thing..

I wish I was younger sometimes. Ida pursued more music, I really dont know what we did wrong but I know people my age years ago become silenced by cocaine. So I tend to think now drugs and alcohol ruin a band.. Even cannabis today for me interferes with our work in the band, just playing for fun really but so much potential is lost cause Im either to stoned, recovering from work, home life, Wife, family issues, resting, in pain from getting old... its great I can do things to get me over the pain.... but then its just to big a show for others to handle. jeeze if youre gooona rock and roll ., roll and rock all night party everyday!!1..

 

I just wish the other guys knew how to run a band... I can't manage them 24/7 which is what they expect. The guitarist is a fucking coke head and that's going to have to fucking stop.

I'm never touching a drug besides pot again. Nothing else enhances music for me so I see no point in doing them. I'll drink every other weekend or something but my partying days are over. Ever since I finished school I've had to fill my time with new things, I haven't had any time to smoke pot... I still have a couple grams that I've had for almost 2 weeks... I just haven't had the time to smoke weed and relax. I think this is a good thing though, I don't remember the last time I was thinking this clearly.

 

why use stolen graphics...even for just the band?....dont you go to school...here is what people do that want steal graphics...find an artist at your school who is good on the computer...give them this pic and just tell them you want the basics but please change it enough that you wont get sued...you could do it your self with a paint program and an hour...eeven running it through one of those online photo changing websites...change the colors to red for the blood....dont be lazy you fucker:mickey:

 

Trust me, the guys in the band will like it... I know it's just a poorly slapped together mess but the people I know are dumb and will shit themselves...

For real artwork I wouldn't even allow this picture to be talked about. It's just gonna make a decent picture for the bathroom door.

 

I just had a decent jam session,, since its only my friend and I .... we use alot of backtracking . Its nice when one song comes out mixed will. But I switched tones, the gain was way more stronger, took out 1/2 the mix and totally crushed my roomies guitar tone too.. without a sound man , it would be me or roomy clearing that. total pain in the ass makes you look like amateurs too.. I was just thinking about you CC cause you mentioned shitty sound board some other thread.

I'm just gonna stick to making the actual logo's though, I don't think I could ever make serious artwork. Although I will try my hardest.

This situation is not sustainable. If they're not willing to do the work now, they're going to let you down in the future. Find people who are going your speed and have your level of competence. IMHO, just from years of observing bands going through the same thing.
