Has anyone been tattooed with this method? I was recently on Ko Chang in Thailand and was really intrigued by all the bamboo tattoo studios. It isn't like conventional tattooing, with a gun and all. The actually carve a needle out of bamboo, and use that to tattoo you with. It is very interesting. I ended up getting two tattoos done bamboo style, and one conventionally, in Bangkok. Its unique in that it doesn't traumatize the skin like a tattoo gun does, and is completely healed within two days. I would recommend it for anyone looking to get tattooed. Here's my tattoos The first two were done by bamboo, and the last was done conventionally. "Expectations are premeditated resentments" on the outside. "This too shall pass" on the inside. Done by artist "One" on Ko Chang Aum Yin Yang Lotus
Very cool.... always wanted a bamboo tattoo.... what were you doin in thailand if you dont mind me asking?
I was traveling there for 7 weeks with my father, who lives in Russia. Just got back today, its nice to be home.
I like travel tattoos because they have good stories. I want a hand tapped maori tattoo. Two questions: What was your overall impression of the cleanliness of the tattooing process? Did they follow blood safety protocol?
If the body is the house of the soul, what's wrong with a forearm, say, adorned with a tropical flower or with a palm tree under a deep blue sky, suggesting the body is glad to recall its stay in Eden, whether or not the soul regards that episode as relevant now.
bamboo tats are so bad ass, I would love to get one. If i'm ever in that part of the world I definitely want to get one. the first one is very cool, I dig it
