Heyy everybody! So im starting dreads and i really want them to look good im not doing all of my hair just like a few. But i was wondering what are some good products to use i was looking online and it kinda was alot of money. Are there any good products that are cheaper but do the same job and just as well that i could pick but in like walmart or some other kinda store cause waiting for things to get to get to my house is a pain in the ass. Soo please just let me know or any other tips on dreads would be great i also strighten my hair alot will that effect how my dreads come out or anything??
your gonna get flamed a lot in here for that post, but here is some advice before the flaming begins, you don't need any products at all to "get dreads" dreads are just tightly knotted hair that is sectioned off and not left form into one giant beaver tail, all you need is to either A: do nothing, dont comb your hair and eventually dreads will form from the knots or B: section, then backcomb the sections and leave them to dread on their own. Two pieces of important advice, always read the stickies in forums, they answer most regular questions, and this being a forum about dreads you can imagine we get that one a lot. two dont listen to what the product companies are telling you, there trying to make a profit, we are not
