I have just read about research carried out at University College London (UCL) Institute of cognitive neuroscience, that shows that conservatives have differently shaped brains to left wingers. Scanning 90 students, they found that left-wingers had thicker anterior cingulates (in the fore-brain) while right-wingers had a more pronounced Amygdala, a more primitive part of the brain responsible for basic instincts. I describe them as Ideologies and they are all capable of being corrupt. There is not any system that is not.
Conservatism supposedly includes fiscal responsibility, but in fact conservatives, as a rule, are insane crazy spenders, while liberals tend to use relative restraint and caution in fiscal matters. Only Clinton presided over a balanced budget- he SOLVED the whole deficit problem, but some Republican JACKASS went and undid all his work, which brings us to... Conservatives claim to believe in America even as they actively work to bring it down. Conservatives claim to believe in our Constitution, but they can't be bothered to ever read it except for soundbytes to be used for political theater. Several Republican candidates for Congress admitted publicly to having never read the document. Conservatives hate gays, even as many of their leaders are predatory pedophiles. The guy John Boehner replaced in Congress, for instance, went to prison for ass-raping little boys. Or maybe it was little girls. In any case, he was a "family values Republican" and went to prison for fucking kids. Conservatives love guns (as do many people of all backgrounds) but this is a good thing. Odds are good that at this very moment, some conservative, all worried about gays and blacks and Mexicans, is loading a gun preparing to blow his own stinking brains skyward because he just can't take it anymore. A conservative is eight times more likely to take his own life with his gun than he is to defend his family with it. Conservatives hate Mexicans, blacks, anyone looking dark and foreign, anyone Muslim or maybe Muslim however unlikely, atheists, and agnostics. They're a political movement based on fear, hate, fear, threats of violence, fear, war, fear, insane levels of spending, fear, fear, and a complete lack of caution and care in all matters. That's the nicest stuff I can say about those pieces of shit. Then there's their DARK side...

In the US the liberals are on the political left, progressive liberalism, in other countries however the liberals are on the political right, classic liberalism.
