Wadda ya think, gang? http://www.dui.com/dui-library/ohio/news/ohio-state-license-plates Excerpt: "While California has no legislation allowing for these specialized plates just yet, Minnesota and Georgia have joined Ohio as states that mandate coded or colored plates for repeat offenders. With the increasing popularity of this method to curb drunk driving, it will not be surprising when more states follow suite. " .
if the plate goes on the front and back.,. Might be a good idea. but driving behind someone with the plate . you know not to get in front them,. but if your in front them/ Then what?.. here in PA only back plate is required.
Problem is that most repeat offenders have no qualms about driving with no license let alone impaired while suspended. At least the colour coded plates would flag them. Not a solution to the stupidity but it would make them more visible.
I say we should should have a special chartreuse plate on the front for repeat offender tailgaters. Now that would make you feel nice and easy when you see that color plate in your rear view mirror. (then again, you probably won't see it, as great tailgaters follow so closely that you can't even see their plate) .
People from other states whose regular plates have the same or similar color as the special color of the three states that have the special DUI color will be seen as repeat DUI offenders when they aren't. The U.S. should have a national standard so that all states use the same color for repeat DUI offenders. .
Yep. Or the completely smashed-in front end. As I've said before, there's nothing that makes you more nervous than being tailgated by a car whose front end is all smashed in. .
I remember seeing someone come to a dead stop at the end of the freeway exit ramp for no reason, and the car behind nearly hit it. Interestingly, the car that stopped short had a rear end that was all smashed in. Now what I want to see is a tailgater following someone who always stops short. .
having no license does not prevent people from driving. I know a few people that have never had a drivers license/ speaking of, I drove on my expired military drivers license for years 1990's, it only has a like 90day or something. lol, even got pulled over with it and the cops didnt care... just said I better get it renewed. Anyways.. my one friend dont drink alcohol and has never had a license as long Ive known him. hes in his 30's been pulled over 100s of times. never served jail time or anything like that, they dont take his cars or anything just make him walk sometimes and once a state trooper let him drive home. His wife owns the cars. and they seem to be able to afford paying the ticket but not renewing his license.. Truth is hes a bigger weirdo like most yalls. and dont want no government ID. Self employed roofer. the government should worry about this guy cause hes a baby maker too , has 4 boys and 2 girls.. before you know it they will have no licenses also, fact his oldest daughter dont. :driving:and if theyll keeping breeding at this rate, before you know it nobody will have ID .. It will be chaos. :willy_nilly:
