i came up on a bottle of lorazepam, but they expired a few months ago, in march or may of 2010. do you think they'll still be straight to eat?

yes.. This is to protect the pharmacy not the consumer while the drugs are in your possession.. (as long as it hasnt been exposed to to much air,. degrading is minimum ..
I had a perk sitting in a drawer for yrs, i ate it.. While it tasted nasty lol, it had not lost any potency .. imo.

Depends on the chem and the storage. If you kept it dry then it should be good. If it was in a moist place then probably not, lorazepam degrades rapidly in the presence of moisture of many kinds, regardless of temp. Sometimes expiration dates are absolutely necessary for some instable meds, but most of the time it is just there for liability protection.

I have read that properly stored, that is, in the bottle, indoors, drugs will last 40 years or more.

I have personally taken drugs that were 12 years old that had 100 percent potency. They were old Ritalin from when I was a little kid, and I was put back on it as a young adult, so I used the old ones to get extra high with.I would insufflate them.
