Question about Forum Rules

Why is it that men can't post in the lesbian forum, but women can post in the gay forum? If there is to be a women's only lesbian forum, shouldn't there be a men's only gay forum? That seems kind of sexist if you ask me...

 

Beats me, I'm the super-mod for this forum and that was a rule I inherited...for what its worth I don't think a lot of people pay attention to it. I suspect it was originally put in place to discourage dumb-ass straight guys who wanted to hit on Lesbians. Probably the straight guys were thinking that once they touched a Lesbian with their little "magic wand" she would be cured of being a Lesbian. Idiots abound in this world ya know.

 

I know. I don't like labels like gay or lesbian personally, I prefer to divide people up by who I love and who I don't love regardless of gender! But thats just me

Yes, I think the reason men arent allowed to post in the lesbian forums, is because you'd have a torrent of idiotic straight guys posting "Lesbians are so hot!" type nonsense, and hitting on some of the lesbians. Even with the rule in place, Ive seen a few such moronic posts from guys in those forums. It needs to be a place were lesbians feel comfortable. And I doubt having a load of guys going in there and leering at them would allow for a comfortable atmosphere.

Women are allowed to post in the gay forums, because they arent proffessing how hot gay men are, or hitting on them. It does seem like a double standard, but I can certainly see why it exists.
