So, saturday i was going into NYC for the first time with a close friend of mine and we decided to pop some banging e pills that i had acquired. On the way there from NJ, i ate two, and so did my friend. About 45 minutes after ingestion i started feeling a great come up. My buddy apparently wasnt feeling anything, but he had never rolled before so i dont think he knew what to expect. So he was like these are bunk man, what are you giving me, blah blah, i knew they weren't bunk, but he took another anyway, despite me advice of telling him to just wait a little longer...ha. Later on in the day about 4 hours after i first dosed, i decided to eat another pill, needless to say, a little while later i was feeling fantastic..

But here is the question..i ate three pills saturday, it is now monday during the day, i was kind of thinking about eating 2 pills this evening..what is up with tolerance to the same pills? should i wait longer to get more of an effect?

you should definitely wait longer. With ecstasy 2 weeks is like the least reccommended time between dosing you should do because that's about how long it takes to fully rejuvenate the happy chemicals, Really its best to keep it at like a once a month type thing or even less.

Many people have a diminishing returns' effect from ecstasy which means no matter how long you wait between uses the effects will start to become less and less so I reccommend making those first few rolls really count. :juggle:

Ah ok...2 weeks you think? Thats how long it takes for the serotonin receptors to kind of recharge i suppose?

I have rolled a few times in the past, and exactly a week ago, i ate a pill for the first time in about 2 years, then this saturday i ate a different press. damn, so i guess i should wait for a little while..

I think the dendrites to your serotonin receptors get shortened and completely destroyed if you abuse it enough, I mean you have tons but its still not particularly healthy, So yah they need a little time to grow back for optimal use.

I know when i first started i did it every weekend for about 3 or 4 months. Definitely not the best thing in the world to do but i definitely rolled hard each time i did it. Eventually it started catching up to me so i stopped but no major damage was done. Im not saying to do it but, if your only doing it like that every now and then i think you would still roll pretty hard. This is my personal experience so dont quote it as fact.

Ive done stupid shit with MDMA, like over 1g in a night (14 hours i think) and then doing some the next day... It's completely retarded and leaves you feeling like you're better off dead.

I haven't really noticed any long term tolerance increase, but my friend has. I roll like I did the first time I tried it, while my friend can't even get there with 300mg... Wait 1 week at the minimum, but I find waiting a month is the best. Out of all the drugs I've tried, I think MDMA is the worst one to abuse.

I took MDMA once a week for literally years with my former wife. It was our Thursday night ritual. I didn't notice a significant 'tolerance' and more of a 'routine' sort of feel. Not bad, mind you, just not that special sparkle thingie, more like 'here we groove again.'

I figured out very early on that taking it on successive days was a waste of material on day two; I'd get high, but no where near as high as the first day. From my experience, a week would be minimum for recovery, and two weeks to a month better, as someone else mentioned.

Taking heroic doses in an effort to overcome short-term tolerance depletes serotonin and dopamine even more, making for a longer recovery and possibly more neurotoxicity. All bets are off with pills of unknown composition.
