i've tripped on lsd n shrooms should i try mescaline?

I tried San Pedro and peyote a long while back, but they weren't anything like the handful of experiences I had courtesy of a gift from a long-not-seen Dead show pal. The crystals were long, thin, and very fine. Lovely, actually. The high on about 200 mg. was pure psychedelic delight. No hint of the weirdnesses I used to sometimes sense (if not get lost in) on acid. Totally present. All good, and 'green light,' indeed. I would love to try some psillocin sometime, because I had some good beginning-of-trip experiences on mushrooms, but invariably things got dark, and I think it may have been some physical reaction of mine to the other stuff (alkaloids or allergen) that tagged along in the mushrooms.

 

Methamphetamine is a phenethylamine, unless I'm much mistaken... From how you see the world, there's about 4 different drugs in existence.

2Cb is NOT mescaline, just because it's in the same class of drugs. It's often compared for having similar effects, but that doesn't mean shit, ritilan is impossible to tell from cocaine, if administered via IV to even the most hardcore coke fiend.

There IS synthetic mescaline, and it's NOT usually the same as what you'll get from a cactus, though of course it's similar. There are various analogs of mescaline, and as I understand it, it's harder to make the one found in higher concentrations in cacti. *some of this last paragraph could be incorrect, due to my shitty understanding of chemistry*

Also note that if you get pure mescaline, it could either have been extracted from cacti or synthesized, and the way either one of these was done affects the different alkaloids present in the finial substance.

Mescaline is the best, but its like an onion. Dosage increase means even more fantastical realms unfold; I personally think most people are satisfied by relatively low doses, and go no higher. Trust me, you will know when you are on a high dose of mescaline...

Anyone else have the same observation I mentioned above about the headspace relative to acid? I took a lot of acid in my twenties, but always has a very healthy respect for its power. Mescaline, while an incredibly rich entheogenic psychedelic, never engendered a trace of fear; on the other hand, I always pre-dosed my acid trips with some alcohol, sometimes MDMA, even the occasional benzodiazepine.

 

The mescaline made in a lab is the same molecule made by the cactus. Just different routes of synthesis. Also the cacti contain other chemicals that round out the experience. In truth the mescaline is just a snippet of what these cacti have to offer. If you're are looking at it from solely a chemistry standpoint, you are overlooking the larger picture and the important role these beings have to play in awakening us to planetary awareness. Never felt anything but :love: from these amazing cacti lifeforms; never once did they make me feel that i was fucked up or intoxicated.
