    Hi All,

I'm trying to build a, err.. slightly less than legal collection of reggae and dub mp3's. So far I've got some King Tubby, Scientist, LKJ, Black Uhuru, Burning Spear, Mad Professor, Lee Scratch Perry and Gregory Isaacs (got Bob Marley on vinyl anyway).

    Any more suggestions?

    cheers,

    sounds really great. :)

(i don't know if these are really in that above style as such but..)

there are some fantastic dub/reggae bands in new zealand at the moment - The Black Seeds being the best. (there are some links to songs on here http://www.theblackseeds.com)

Trintity Roots, Fat Freddy's Drop, Salmonella Dub, Zuvaya(sp?), the WBC and Katchafire are a few other great ones. If you can't find them on an MP3 search (and you can bothered :)) they might have some free downloads on http://www.nzmusic.com/

anyway, sounds like an awesome CD, have fun

cheers for the recc. a house share is probably 60-70+ quid/week. you could try www.friday-ad.co.uk for accomodation, sorry don't know anyone looking for tenants at the moment. if you're in town, try the message board in the health food shop Infiinity Foods in the North Laines, has lots of ads for veggies, also Dumb Waiter cafe in Sydney Street. Jobs are mainly in the service sector, lots of customer service-type jobs, some IT, sales & marketing if you can stomach it (urgh!), also support worker jobs for mental health / homeless, care assistants etc. Quite a few jobs of various types at Gatwick / Crawley if you don't mind the travel. unemployment is quite high, so you might find strong competition for the decent roles. public sector is quite strong with 2 universities, 2 hospitals, big council plus a number of schools and colleges.

    hope this helps,
