Well, I made the move to taper off opiates or I made a move to put myself into withdrawals, lol.
I told the Dr I wanted off opiates for pain relief. I'm just sick and tired of the prison that opiates keep you in. The monthly worry of running out. The last few days going down to half doses to keep from getting sick and making it to refill day. Its too fucking stupid to put yourself through it on a monthly basis.
So I picked up Perc 10s to replace the roxy 30s. Also along with 120 Perc 10s I get 120 100mg Nucyntas. That is a weak opiate probably on a level between a 5mg Hydro and a 5mg Perc.
I'll be coming off around 140-180mg/day dependancy. My plan is to drop 25 percent every 7 days. This was the only plan outside of methadone the Dr would be a part off. He isnt certified for Subs and I refuse to go on methadone and the taper was my idea.
So starting today, its 120mg/day for this week. 90mg/day next week and so on until I get down to less than 20mg a day then ill jump. Im in control of my own meds currently so we will see how it goes.

Good for you. I just hope your pain is being treated in some manner. I wouldn't want you to suffer from doing something noble.

Well, my pain has decreased some due to what i guess is wieght loss. I've lost close to 50 since April, I'm thinking that is playing a big part in it. While sitting for long periods though, the pain can get way out of hand. Im taking 12 semester hours via online courses so I do spend considerable time in the chair. So the weight loss and getting a new chair is helping but I'll have to be smarter about taking breaks.....

Too bad Florida is so draconian when it comes to cannabis. Here in CA you can get a recommendation for cannabis and have it in your hand in an hour. Then you wouldn't need to be addicted to prescription drugs the rest of your life...

Can you move to another state?

Hold on a sec, While I dont seriously abuse, like on a daily basis, I did start that way. But at this point, to abuse to get high, just takes too damn large a dose, therefore causing me to run short. Its a vicious cycle, I'm just choosing a sensible way to deal with it.....
But the morning dose still gives me that warm soft fuzzy feeling, but the rest of the day is just normal. But the next time I lower, next week, I doubt the morning will feel the same. Dr told me that if I feel any withdrawal symptoms, that we would relook at how we are doing this. I told him that was fine as long as we use Oxycodone via tper. I would not entertain methadone. He did mention giving me a script of roxy 15s to help keep the dose of tylenol low as we can with the percs.
