I am looking to go with my sister from Colorado to New York in May for about a week. We are looking for the best way to go that will be the cheapest, but reliable. Any suggestions?
a rent a car with unlimited miles!! seems to do the trick. just dont tell them that your leaving state
My favorite way is to hop on the greyhound bus...don't have to worry about running out of gas or hitting the snow banks.
I agree with the greyhound. Sometimes if you travel at the right times, you can get plane tickets super cheap- especially if you are flying into / out of JFK. You should try looking on places like expedia.com and mobissimo.com. But if the plane is too expensive, take the greyhound. Good luck!!
thanks all. I looked up greyhound and it's around $350 per person. Granted, this is round trip, so it will be more expensive, but $350 is a bit much. I looked into amtrak and they seem to be the cheapest so far. Like around $266 per person.
Jetblue (www.jetblue.com) will probably run about $220 or so roundtrip from Denver to JFK if you book reasonably in advance.
7-Day Advance Purchase Adult $109.00 Thats the price for a 1-way ticket on greyhound from White River Jct,VT-Kingman,AZ
Amtrak has specials and booking online can "net" you good deals. I can go see my brother in Cali for about $100 RT, from Denver Union Station. Which is so cool to be in.....
