So i just washed my hair after 2 weeks with dr.bronners they havent dried completely yet but it appears almost all of my newly backcommed dreads are out? Should I backcomb then again? This is the second time this has happened
first of all read this, please http://www.hipforums.com/newforums/showthread.php?t=365451&f=209 and it's normal for backcombed dreads to fall out, they're supose to do that just keep them clean, rip them to prevent congos and that's it, you will have dreads
They're gonna fall out, tighten, loosen, shrink, fatten. Takes a while for them to actually lock up. Backcombing just gives a jump start with the sections and basically gives the appearence that they're locked, but they aren't. Give it 6 months and you should see loads of the progress. Till then, what ^^she^^ said, keep em clean. They're gonna need friction to knot up and if ya hairs greasy it ain't gonna help.
No, this is honestly the perfect time to let them grow on their own because they're probably already sectioned a little bit. Just do nothing for a year and a half, it's all I can say.... Just believe me.
Mine fell out twice the first month and then I finally stopped caring so much and let my hair do its thing. They're finally locking up nice after 6 months now. Get ready to be asked annoying questions like why you took your dreads out and etc.
