Okkayy so i was listening to this song called sellout by nevershoutnever and it says "im sick of imagery instead of artistry i am sick of apathy instead of harmony im sick of poets working part time jobs while pissy people pick and choose the stars" and i was just thinking this is so true in the music industry theses days. What do you thinkk?
Its better to be a Star in your dreams than to be a real star on earth. Stars on earth dont shine in the heavens, and their dreams are darker than you can ever possible imagine.. You should pray for them.
hhmm well i think imagery can be artistry, apathy can be harmonized, and the pissy people statement is very subjective. i agree with the poets having side jobs though, but thats a whole other topic, one not relating to music. plus i dont find the song that artistic sounding...the lyrics are a speech put into some kind of chord scheme with a guitar. sorry. what is considered art is all subjective though
It's easy to forget the 50's, 60's, 70's, 80's and 90's were completely full of shitty music, it's just no one remembers those acts anymore. Disco? Need I say more.

Pop music sucks plain and simple. There is no originality anymore. Today I was walking around the downtown of my city and heard this amazing singer playing a guitar. I told her she was the best I have heard in along time strumming and playing. Support local artist even if you haven't found one you like yet there bound to be out there.
