In the start of the year I grew 20 beautiful plants. They now stand about 6 feet tall or so. I can't bring myself to throw out my males, is it worth the time and effort to make then into hash? If so, what's the easiest most effective way? I've never attempted to make it. I've cooked with my pot, smoked it, sold it, and grown it. Might as well make it into hash next right?
Its not worth it to use males really. They don't have much crystal and they should never get that mature if you are raising sensimilla females. Use your crystalized skuff trim, baby buds, and leaves that you clip off the frosted nugs before drying and curing. I have found the best way to use trim and air buds is to let them sit in the freezer overnight so they get cold, then use an extraction bag bucket setup with cold water and ice. Bubble bags are popular but i love my Payload bags. There are many tutorials on youtube of how to make hash with extraction bags. This is the way to make the finest bubble hash you can smoke, and it makes about 3-4 grams total per run of varying grades of hash.
In the past, I have made hash oil using a double boiling method and Everclear alcohol. The resulting hash oil is very potent, but the process is extremely dangerous. If you do try this, be sure to have a well ventilated area and have a fire extinguisher near by.
