Yea, that's exactly how my face looked, Cakes. As, Frerra use to say, "Don't poke unawake Grizzly Bears with a stick." Or something like that. Sleeping bears. LOL

So, Cakes, I hear that the weather in Dallas was a high of 77. I'll bet that you all will have a beautiful last weekend before Christmas. Tease, Tease. Maybe you can point Mouseman and Heather to a sunny market where they can make a bundle of cash by selling kettle corn over the weekend. They could cover their costs for their whole trip in one shot. Which Ever. Ya know those R.V.s get really bad gas mileage and gas is almost $3 per gallon. You could really be helping 'em out. They could use a deal. And GO With 'em. Okay?

Oh, BTW, Ranger! maybe you could P.M. Cakes about your latest distributorship deal! That's exciting. And very good news! Right?

If I'm not mistaken, it was the early morning drills that earned Ranger the alt. name of "Thud".
I still have fond memories of the time when the two of us would walk up to the coffee shop on Haight before the rest of the hippies were awake to wrap ourselves around some coffee and protein ("same old same old") and kickstart the day. Remember those mornings, Ranger?

I will be serving about 40 ppl on Saturday. We have the Clanton Family Christmas Dinner a couple of weeks before Christmas like a lot of big families do. Most ppl, esp with kids want to be home on Christmas Day, so therefore we are putting on the Dog ( not you Ace, but ur welcome) cakes style at my house @ Noon.. dont be late and bring a covered dish

I got a couple of my posse coming to help with the prep work. First time in 11 yrs I will have any help beside my ever lovin who peels the potatoes. I love the cooking part be hate hate hate the cleanup afterwards. I am getting lazy in my new old age

So, with that said, I regretfully have to pass on the Markets this weekend. I will however steer The Mouseman in the direction of any sales that may be going on in the area. Anyway I'll want to visit with them and NOT send them away just yet

Woke up this am to a fine San Francisco morning, we're fogged in here in the Az mountains! The prob is most of these fools are driving around in "can barely see the hood orniment fog" with no lights at all!
Yeah Ace, I recall those mornings with great fondness and miss them.

 

Long ago and far away, brother. That was a time.

But you know? Despite all the road miles this old bastard is hauling around these days, I gotta say I believe I'm managing to do a better job of showing up for life now than I was then.

The growth we've all esculated to, from our beginnings we knew something was in the air, something fine and real. A new way of seeing, a broader view then the keyhole we as human beings were looking through.

Our time had come upon us in the twinkling of an eye.We had no map to guide us or no leader to lead us. WE all showed up for the Happening. The Street that love built, called Haight. The Drough Store Cafe the Headquarters of the Hippie Nation on the corner of Haight n Ashbury with the ppl of many colors dancing and singing in the streets around it. Dr. Dave's around the corner. The 409 House where ones would go for direction on Clayton St.

So many landmarks of our being. So many stories to be told. So much change manifested from a dream of Peace and Love created before our time to be fulfilled in The Dawning Of The Age Of Aquaius.

Our numbers grew as did the Spirit Of The Movement as we blazed tails of Experience through the Cosmos of Existance into a new consciousness of Awareness and lit up the world with our song.

We brought the stars with us when we came and placed them in the eyes of the ppl. They saw our dream and more Light came and mankind was clean, briefly.

The Darkness came in the midths of our Celebration Of Life and brought the Uglies to infest the hearts and minds of the ppl. Some were fooled by the promises of the snake and went down into the blackhole of dispare, their love light riped from them as they fell into the gutter of addiction.

The ones that stayed or regained the Light fled the darkness and sought refuge away from the main stream where the evil flowed. We took Mother as our shelther and lived from her breast. We raised our babies to respect our Hostess and our Benevolent Father, Great Spirit and sang our songs of love to them and told them stories of the times we spent making history.

The cycle of life spins as we take our grandparents places and our grandchildren take ours in the new Light of Love.

Hey Kenny,
It seems when I stir the shit up ppl mistake my intentions for vendetas, so I will reframe from any shit stirring for the time being, untill my intent is Clearly seen.

Mouseman and Heather are still sleeping in their motor home in my driveway. We have had a wonderful trip down memory lane. It is very good to see them and I love them dearly. I dont want them to leave just yet

They will be leaving this morning on over to Fla and on to see Spacey Stacey. Mouseman is doing fine and is as happy as a free spirit could be. No worries there

How wonderful it is to be in a position to travle around the country reconnecting with long lost bro n sisters and sharing lives lived. We are blessed to have ones that care for us so, to take the time and energy to show the LOVE..

I am thankful that I got to be part of all this wonderful happening, knowing all of you, sharing experiences and growing a bond so tight it has lasted 40 yrs and is still going strong.

The Time Being is over.. all ready to start stirrin' some shit Kenny???

First on the agenda is # 1 priority.

We are looking for a camper trailer or equivelent , it needs to be livable and road worthy
This Camper is for Ranger. He has to get a stent in his heart and the docs will not do it untill in is out of the Van and into something more suitable for recovering from heart surgery.

Right now he is living in their Van in Wal-Mart parking lot and that just aint gonna get it. Winter is coming on and we have to get him in better living conditions if he is going to get his heart fixed..

I am calling on each and everyone who reads this. If he doesnt get the stent, well I think you all know what will happen.

So I am asking from the heart for any and all assistance availble to find it in their hearts to chip in and let''s get Ranger and Rita out of the parking lot and into a trailer.

You can PM me or Kenny for instructions on where to send your donations.

Remember it could be you sitting out in the cold with a bad heart, so find your lovong Spirit and give what you can, even if it's just a few bucks.

These three need a pat on the back. They are giving out of love and compassion for a fellow human being that they do not know personally. How gracious they are. How greatful we are. Thank You.

I know Mouseman and Kenny both will be donating to the fund as they have told me so.

When we have enough for the Camper I will foward the money to Kenny, who lives closer to Ranger and can meet with him and make arrangements to purchace the Camper, as Ranger does not have a physical address himself.

With your help folks we can change that and get Ranger a home so he can have his surgery. You are helping save a life here as they have no Hippie Retirement Homes for us to go to so we depend on each other to get through. If everyone pitches in we can get er done without creating a burden on one or two fellow hippies.

That's what it's all about ppl. We get by with a little help from our friends. Gonna try with a little help from our friends. We can do this thing, it's nuttin but a little jingle weighing down your pocket. Relieve the pocket stress and give a little LOVE.

Tis' the time of the season for goodwill towards your brothers and sisters. Now is the time to act upon your grace. Whatever you give you will recive so much more, knowing you saved the life of our worthy Brother Ranger.
