why do girls always leave the bangs undreaded? that shouldn't even count as dreads.

I mean, the bangs are the most important part, they are like the center pieces of your entire dread set. plus, if you leave them, it doesn't even matter if you mess the rest up because you still have the front as it was. so, basically , you don't have the full dread experience or the commitment you have to put out if you had a fully dreaded set, particularly in the front where everyone notices the most.

I met a chick like that.... I met her when my girlfriend parents brought me and my GF to some church to try to convert us to Christianity.

I asked the chick how she did them and she said "oh I went to a locktician in toronto". I said "leave it to a christian to go out and get fake dreads".

I walked away while she looked at my beautiful thick congo's that are at the back of my head....

personally I did it for practical reasons, in a year I'll get my degree and have to get a job, the undreaded hair will help cover the dreads, couse no one would hire a dreaded woman where I live. I would have love to dread all my head ... maybe in the future I will :D

"beautiful" is a strong word; pics of back of your head please.

anyway OP I don't know what you're talking about have undreaded bangs shouldn't "count" as having dreads ...?! I don't understand. even if it made sense that someone was somehow in charge or dreads, dreads are dreads whether you have one or a full head.
and girls don't ALWAYS have undreaded bangs, i don't, but some do because it's their hair and they can do whatever they want with it.
it sould be because the hair in their bangs is shorter and they're growing it out before they dread it/let it dread
or it could be because having free bangs is more versatile as a hairstyle which at the end of the day is all it is

CC does have beautiful dreads. But I think the bangs and dreads combination is cute. I don't have either, but if I did, I'd probably have both. lol

I renembrer!! :p I realise that the comment looked like I was implying you did not have beautiful dreads when I was just trying to say that I had no proof either way (which I obviously did but I didn't remember that lol)

    Hello,

I don't know anyone with dreads but I have always heard that they hold a lot of dirt and whatnot in them. (Not calling you guys dirty) Do you notice that? When washing your hair do you have to use special shampoo or be careful or anything? Do you have to do anything different that a person with short hair . Again I am not trying to insult anyone.

It's no different to how you care for your hair.

I like it when girls leave their fringe, it adds a touch of femininity.

Some guy at the mall said I only have half dreaded hair, "weird". I just said huh sure. I was confused.

I have a big forehead and look not too good with no bangs. Plus it changes things since dreads are not easy to "style".
