a little bit about Michio Kaku..

This is why I dont like him.
Im watching this show, where hes discussing robots. The dude seems like hes bent on universal dominance ..
His whole time hes talking about how these machines can take over a planet, destroy all living organisms and move on..

I dont know dude, but he has to be some kinda asshole to use this so called science knowledge he has. And all you talk about is how your robots and advanced technology can destroy.

Build a time machine and go back in time and kill Hitler. Excuse me .. But if you're so smart , wouldnt reeducating Hitler be a better solution?..

Go back in time and give Hitler a puppy or something. But no! Its always with death and destruction..

I dont understand these people anymore.. They sound more like Hitler, than Hitler himself..

<Just turns off science tv channel disgusted @ human race.. :( i cant seem to watch anything anymore..

People have already done it. The robots are going to be disappointed when they come on the scene to try to do it.

Of course, we could somehow build a time machine to rewrite events so that the bots can do it before people did.

these bots are so tiny and replicated from the resources, they then move on. Eventually the entire universe is self replication robots..

Einstein rode around having his chauffeur gives lectures. Then one day someone ask a real difficult question and the chauffeur thought he was caught, but he said that question is so simple that my chauffeur can answer it..
    True or false?//...

One can envision scenarios where people/robots do not simply overpopulate the universe but alter it to the extent that the fate of the universe itself changes. For example, from one where it would have continued to expand forever to one where it could be stable or end up in some other fate. Those kind of ideas get pretty far-fetched realistically. In theory they are possible though.

Michio Kaku is a string theorist , so anything is possible..
But why continue the work of the nazi regime, bent on universal domination?..
if all scientists dream about is dominating the universe, it will forever be just a dream..

If there are any universities or museums in your area, you might want to check them out if you haven't yet. Many have colloquiums on things like physics, astronomy, and cosmology that are open to the general public. The science at those talks is at a level and integrity far better than what is shown on cable TV. Some universities have their colloquiums videos on the web.

I read Visions when I was like 12. He makes theoretical physics relatively easy to understand. I can't think of any of it now, cuz im high, but if he was telling it to me, I would understand it at the moment. I like it when he's on coast to coast as well.

He just likes to fuck shit up just like a lot of the rest of us, myself included. and also dream about theoretically fucking shit up with robots or what not.

After I die I just want my brain waves to be copied into a robot with one machine gun for a penis. I don't think that's too much to ask.

robots do what they are told so if they destroy the world it would be an extension of human's will. now the only way to solve this problem is to make it so robots can only have a 6 foot cord. this way they can only go so far from where they are plugged in

This is the classic example of how robots could destroy the world while doing their job-

Robots in the future that fight fires. Robots would be great at it. No one dies. They don't need to breathe, etc.

But then there is a natural catastrophe-an earthquake that destroys a great amount of infrastructure in a city. Electrical systems are out. Roads are out. Water treatment facilities are out. The robots start putting out the fires. They are doing their job. But in the earthquake the water treatment facilities were destroyed. The robots are using the fresh water to put out the fires. But in the earthquake the master control for the robots was also destroyed-so there is no way to stop the robots from doing their job. So in the end there is a lack of fresh water for survivors to drink.

This is a silly example in many ways. But it shows how without the robots even being out of control-in doing their jobs-that they could be a serious problem in the future.
