Hi guys, I have to tie my goats legs together to keep them from jumping out of the area they are in, I am just wondering what knot is best to not slip, one of my knots ended up slipping and was very tight on my goats leg, the knot Im using now is working well, but it was just a spur of the moment thing, I dont really know any knots.

Just to clairify I have one front leg tied to one back leg so they can run (hobble) along freely without being able to jump out of their area. Thanks.

Having kept goats for years I have to say that tying the legs is not a good idea, the rope will chafe and lead to sores. It is also cruel. Plus goats always like to kneel.

We always put a collar on them (dog one will do) and kept them on a chain with a spike so that they have 360 degree movement. You can move the spike to suit the ground you want grazed.

Put up a proper fence for them, or get rid of the animals.

If I saw a goat (or other animal) hobbled like that... the owner would be the next one who was...
