So after I accepted my new job and went in for training today my boss told me corporate is here and he won't let you have dreads because they look messy and there is no way to make them work. You have to get rid of them or we can't keep you. Because of your experience we are willing to give you two days to do it. I need this job to live and I have been crying because I have worked so hard, and this is the only job hiring right now or I would have to wait 2 months until another position opens ( what I was told by ever other job I applied for) which was like 20 jobs. How do I do this is two days. I really am heart broken and sad, but I have to do what I have to do to survive. Anyone that has just brushed please give me some advice in how I can get this mess brushed out. thanks and I guess I am another sucker who has to cut this month.

Man that sucks. i work for one of the big oil giants and I'm going through the same thing but not as severe. I've managed to fight it for just over a year now! I'm honestly really dorry about having to get rid of them but remember you can always get them back it's only hair. GL

Well I was albe to brush a couple out. So I talked to my boss and we were able to come to a compromise. I will brush the front dreads so that when my hair is back I have the slick back look on top and then just have the rest of my dreads in a bun. I think I am going to try this and show her tomorrow before I brush all my hair.
