Requiem For A Dream

Saw it once sober thought it was an awesome movie, saw it again stoned and it got Under my skin but I was at someones house I was pretty unfamiliar with so I just got a sense of uncomfortable vibes from some of the stoned girls seeing it for their first time.

 

this is one of my favorite films everrrr.

the first time i watched it, was at like 4am after not sleeping for a couple days straight, and smoking.

when his mom went nuts, i was freakin out ha

 

I still wanna watch it while tripping, for some reason. I'm kinda nervous about it, but I'm gonna do it, someday.

 

That whole last 20 minutes is mentally disturbing.

I had a toke packed in my pipe as it was ending, like the mother was getting shocked, and the guy was in the hospital with his arm but I couldn't take my toke. I was already stoned and if I were any higher I would have gotten embarrassingly scared.

 

damn i just watched the trailer it looks pretty intense it gives off a kind of earie vibe too ill have to remember to watch it.

yup, awesome movie... kicked me in the guts and moved me... what a ride!

 

this movie didnt really move me at all.. the only thing i liked about it was Marlon Wayans

and the infected arm thing was so unrealistic.. there is not a drug addict in the world that would continue to shoot into that exact same spot once it started to look like that

When I was in high school, I had a first date with this gorgeous girl in my debate class named Raleigh. We went to go see Requiem, neither of us knowing what it was about.

About halfway through the movie, she starts sobbing uncontrollably, and I had to comfort a hysterical girl out of the movie theater and to her car, where she eventually explained to me that her cousin had died a few weeks ago of a heroin overdose.

I've struck out on dates before, but never so badly.

So yesterday I was dragging my feet around blockbuster trying to find something interesting to watch. Remembered coming across this thread the other day and decided to see if they had it in. They did. Picked that shit up and went home to watch it with my lady. I saw a few comments on here but tried not to read anything that would spoil anything for me.

All I know Is, when those two chicks were in front of all those older dudes I knew exactly what was comin. Ass to ass! I fuckin lost it. Rewinded that shit a dozen times, that guys face is priceless. My lady didn't find it as funny as I but I heard her chuckle.

Hahaha ass to ass. Made my day.

haha.. sums up the movie. nah not really..

i find it moving and consider it to be well done, and yes, if you can relate to any of the issues, it especially hits home
