how that they have them on the animal planet.. just ruins it for me. Its actually very sad that I cant watch the animals without hearing "depression hurts" this shits like a fucking drill to my skull and I really think fuck them seals, club them to death!! I dont need to experience Diarrhea and side effects like sexual dysfunction, "thoughts of suicide never enter my mind til someone continues to fucking mention "suicide "thoughts of suicide You should know that some patients have reported changes in behavior, agitation, depressed mood, suicidal thoughts" I was watching beavers build dams and that was relaxing enough when all the sudden, warning creepy seroquel commercial . wtf... cant have no peace , then I imagined myself on this Bear tranquilizer and though ... I think you get the message.
they have replaced the tobacco ads of the past..

Exactly...they seem to almost lull you into suffering the symptoms by barraging you with them. Repeating shit about suicide every 6-7 minutes is bound to make people think about it (not necessarily consider it). It's hardly even subliminal.

Suicide is rarely mentioned in the mainstream news, at least in the U.S., with the exception of notable celebrities committing suicide. I think part of it is because people are afraid it might cause more suicides.

Data from Centers for Disease Control and Prevention for 2007 show about 35,000 suicides in the U.S. That's comparable to deaths related to traffic accidents. It's in the top ten for causes of death.

I wonder if all of these pharma commercials will eventually get banned or controlled a few decades from now the way alcohol and tobacco ads became controlled or prohibited.

At the time, things seems normal. Looking back decades later people lament, "What were we thinking?"

I was watching a broadcast originating from the U.S. couple years ago of the famous heartwarming Christmas movie "It's a Wonderful Life". All through the movie they did those 900 sex slut phone line commercials and some pharma commercials also.

You'd think they'd at least take a break from that kind of thing during such a movie. I know all the proponents and apologists of free enterprise will get defensive and say their rights are being infringed, stop bashing America, move away if you don't like it, and such. But jeez. All people are asking is for one little break from that type of thing during a beautiful holiday movie.

    :)

Perhaps the next wave will be picture-in-picture of pharma commercials while you're watching your favorite show. They were doing that thing in California showing the police car chases in a small box while the regular TV show was going.

    Prediction-

In the not so distant future the public will be able to order prescription drugs over the television.

"Don't want to toss and turn one more night? Call now! We can have a certified representative at your door today!"

    Edit:

    Prediction-

In the somewhat distant future, "prescription" drugs will be mandatory...

    Prediction-

Parents of children identified as having behavior problems will have court-ordered prescriptions for their children with jail time for failure to administer.

I took Lunesta for about a month 5 years ago because of severe insomnia.

Don't go all proper diet and exercise on me. I was eating well and exercising, I had a lot of problems at the time, and proper diet and exercise wasn't enough to keep my mind from racing while I tried to sleep.

Anyway, It caused me horrifically vivid nightmares and at least one episode of sleep walking which my ex woke me from. They say you should never wake a sleepwaker, which is an urban myth. But I understand why it is. Being awoken from sleepwalking is kinda terrifying.

Anyway my point is, Lunesta sucks. :D

That's strange how it can affect the mind's ability to picture things internally.
