Thank you, Im sure that will make sense when Im in the country! I live in the UK and havent been to Arizona since 2002 I know the state is huge so I was just wondering where abouts in Arizona to get an idea if we will be near it at all- hopefully hiring a van/car

I am in town today, Saturday and will be here a while tomorrow. I am at McDonalds right now using the Wi-Fi. I will try to get those videos downloaded and looked at.

Also found the swap meet. Not much going on there by the time I arrived. Are you going to be around tomorrow? If not, I will be back in a few weeks. I am guessing I will get this new job started after the first of the year.

Also found Anytime Fitness. Looks like a good place to get a bit of a workout and a shower for not much over $1 per day.

Glad to hear that your Turkey Day was good. And I can't wait to get chewed on so you can have a bit of a break! :rofl:

 

Just finished reading the whole thread. Love the posts and the pictures. I'm about to watch all of the movies. I feel like I know you now TwoDog! I LOVE YOUR HANGOUT AT SUGARLOAF. I believe I could spend 6 months there just wandering the area and taking pics. Except for an occasional plane it looks to be one of the quieter places on earth.

 

Thanks Dancing til Dawn, I appreciate the nice compliment. I did mean the fancy fang dangled "Boom Box" skeleton. Sure could not give up the van with all that time and money invested. Man, sure wish I had my solar panel installed with some batteries so I could have:

1) Heat, as my water is about half froze in the mornings
2) Heart Pounding Music - Gotta Get My Fix Ya Know
3) A little more light would be nice

All in all, it is all good. I have plenty of blankets to keep warm and I go to the gym for a short little work out if any at all, and a shower.

I am visiting Arizona in July coming from the UK and looking to hire a van or rent one off someone for a few weeks can you recommend a cheap option?
Best time of my life was living out for a van in New Zealand and Australia, really hope to do the same in the US and pit stops at friends and communities ....

Well folks, I've just gotten back around a computer for the first time this year. I've been saving the world from global warming single-handedly by staying parked in one place for two weeks at a time. I can go 3 months on one tank of gas that way. Just can't keep this place updated. I do have over 2 months of pics to go through, upload and post this weekend. Some may be fairly boring to a lot of folks but some were those, "Holy Shit! Glad I had my camera out!" moments. First things first...answering over two months of posts.

The Verde Valley's been slightly warmer but there's been a number of "Three Dog Nights" on which I've been a dog short. Skwert has actually been crawling into the sleeping bag on occasion. Poor dude has no fur.

DtD, just give me plenty of advance warning and we'll see if we can't make that happen.

What Il do is message or ring on your cell phone when Im in the US, do u use a mobile?
I shall borrow a friends and connect Arriving around June 27th ....Arizona after rainbow...i wil stay to clean up and find a ride to you ...way up west!
