I think the material universe were in is some sort of gnostic prison. I'd like to think humanity cans top killing itself and enslaving itself in wars and genocide, but I think that would have happened a long time ago if it could have happened at all. I maintain a certain glimmer of hope that humanity can turn itself around by doing my own part in being a good person and trying to contribute positivity to others around me.

When the end does come, though (from nuclear war, old age, or cancer from all the pollution in the environment), I want to know a bit more on where to go, in death, as well as this life while Im still here. I've been wanting to get more into astral projection so I can learn what the heavens are like. When death comes, I just don't want to mess it up and not have any advancement. I'd like to meet with other souls someplace that don't want to end up trapped within another genocidal species again. I hope that humanity gets past its predatory phase and will do what I can to push toward that transition, but I have a lot of doubt in me that it will happen.

I've started reading up more on AP, and I want to try to read random numbers on the top of my book shelf in astral form and try to remember them when I wake up in my physical body to confirm whether the phenomenon is real or not. From what I've seen so far, its very vivid and very accurate, but I want to be 100% certain that its a real phenomenon.

    Any tips?

(P.S. I mean, don't get me wrong. There's a lot of cool people. However, I think there's a good possibility this is all gonna end in a nuclear war or something.)

    Hi MellowViper

Long ago I learned from personal experience that which I focused on grows. When you change the way you think everything around you changes. There is a balance to all things. Back a few years ago there was a movie titled "the Secret. It has a ink red rose on the cover and is eye opening as to just how much power our thoughts, and imagination has.

This does not mean we stick our heads in the sand about the crap out there. Sometimes I get so frustrated and tired of the garbage and fighting here on the hip forums.
I choose not to feed with my thoughts, or energy these things. Feed what you want to grow.

Reminds me of the story of this young child who would tell his mother, and anyone who would listen, every day he wanted to move mountains. They all laughed at his childishness. One night when the boy was about seven he had this strange dream. He dreamed that one pebble grew legs and ran from this mountains side. The mountain woke up and followed the pebble. The young boy got up in the morning and stopped talking about what was wrong and how he wanted to move mountains. Instead he gave the pebbles legs and carried the mountains he wanted to move away. When he was old and gray his grandson came to him one day and said, "Gram-pa, Someday I want to build a mountain and make my home on the mountain." The grandfather listened quietly and asked his grandson how he was going to build a mountain. The grandson replied, "With a bulldozer."

Who knows what you can create if you have the courage to believe in what you want to accomplish and do.

Ever watch the movie that came out titled What The Bleep Do We Know.

All change must begin within us. All change begins in what we can imagine and give our life path to. Change is always our constant and offers us a place to grow that which we focus on and choose to become.

So want to change the world.....Change how you see the world. When your love, intent, and integrity come together so will your dreams of what you wish was.

Let your path be about personal transformation, not the victim role and create by thinking, saying and doing in the direction you wish to go.

I think the material universe we're in is incredible. Diverse, colourful, offering so much. For those of us lucky enough to be in houses on computers, it is full to the brim with riches. Besides which, it is all we definitely have, so you'd better make the most of it and stop trying to plot out some post-death experience.

I also think this overdramatic kind of thought pattern about how our whole species is damned only feeds into the kind of negativity us humans can become subjected to, which causes the problems in the first place.

who's to say that a complete end is damnation, or something not beautiful? something which is eternal has no intrinsic value. it is the transience and fragility of life which makes it precious.

if the sun refuse to shine, I don't mind, I don't mind.

Well, you never know. But I prefer to hold on to the real wonder we have right here right now rather than spend so much energy speculating about such things and lamenting all I see as wrong in the world.
