just curious as to what i can expect when i hit the Dentists office this week.....pretty bad pain, 2 teeth prolly gotta come out.....but im gonna schedule it for next week if they do....till then i hope for some meds....again the pain is pretty bad.....the crown royal isnt even numbing it all the way.....so let me know the most common Rx!!!!
Codeine, Vicodin, Motrin/600 or 800. Don't get your hopes up unless you have a horribly adverse reaction or get an infection. Even then, they won't issue any more than 1 go around of 20 pills, i.e. no refills.
^Yeah, my experiences with the dentist are that they are very conservative about giving out narcotic pain medicine..It seems as though almost every time that someone i know has gone to get their wisdom teeth taken out, they get either 5mg hydros, or 5mg oxycodone. Other than that, only major dental work seems to get given higher potency opiates..this is only my limited experience though... i have read some of your posts before...dont you have a LARGE collection of rx pain killers? haha! always nice to get a script for more i suppose
my asshole dentist would keep giving out narcotics, even though he said there was nothing he could see.. yet, im in pain from previous extraction) < a tooth that was according to local dental hygienist *Fine*, unaffiliated with the government . when recommending me to a new surgeon. he found the tooth with a hole in it, A hole I could tell was there myself... He pulled it- providing me with 40 percocets.. The Va dentist recommended I get a root canal weeks before this.. The dental hygienist ordered me 19 Es vic's prior to the surgeon visit. I paid cash./ $35.00- $2--.00 most which was replaced with narcotic sales... I dont really see the need for them once the pain has ceased. When a tooth is extracted nobody should be uncomfortable past the 1st-2nd day, Since some professional dentists are good at what they do. like the one I last visited. i was not in pain 8hrs after the procedure. I found the script to be unnecessary but almost like a lolipop after a haircut .., Its deserved. > Notice the 19 vics?. Im wondering if this is some kinda code he uses with the pharm. he said recently his script pad was stolen, a perp would write in any #.. but this dentist writes odd # more .
yeah. haha. agreed 100% hmm. could be.. normally, as spiceycat said above, for procedures such as removing teeth, i have heard quite frequently around 20 pills per Rx...so less than that could be a signal between the dentist and pharmacy.. thats crazy stealing a Rx pad and then writing a bunch of your own scripts.. isn't that multiple felony offenses? I have heard of people in the town where i used to live, and all over really doing stuff like this and try to fill phony prescriptions.
i got demerol after I had my wisdom teeth taken out. i wasn't even in pain; the teeth werent impacted or anything so it was a pretty simple procedure. i probably could have gotten by on ibuprofen 800 or something. But damn i was on cloud nine for a couple of days afterwards lol
This is most common. Dentists rarely prescribe good stuff. I had a fully impacted wisdom tooth, surgery took 1.5 hours and he gave me 15 Vicodin ES. I told him I couldn't help but smoke and he said that makes it hurt a lot more, so, ultimately he gave me 15 pills 3x. I'd save them for when I run out, stave off the DTs for 2 days or whatever.
I have never been prescribes anything narcotic or otherwise at a dentist and I have had times with 8 fillings done and of course extractions including wisdom teeth, without general anesthesia. Don't excite yourself.
I did have a large cache, lol i goto the dr on monday, and fell a little short this month, so im kinda of panicking, cant find shit around here to buy, my guy i saw last night only got rid of 10-15's so that will barely last me a day or two, along with this tooth ache, im freakin out man, talk me down!!! TALK ME DOWN!!!!!!!!! Hahhahahah
UPDATE::::: Need 2 teeth pulled, got some antibiotics and 6 5mg percs, lol he's like there have been stories of people buying cars on this stuff....I'm like yeaaaahhhhhh.........lol, well 6 more than i had or one dose, lol.....also scooped up 3 40mg methadone wafers, never fucked with them before, gonna save them because i doubt ill make it till monday...... Did a little reading on the methadone....little concerned....any tips?
I use around 90mgs of roxi at a time to get high for reference. But I use about 50 - 60mgs of methadone at a time for a high. It does last forever though, which is sweet. I rarely get my hands on it but I use around 60mgs on average.
yeah seems to be working fairly well.....i dosed at 4 yesterday, then at midnight, i was able to sleep good, and dosed again at 12 today......dont feel to bad....tryin to make it last and just limp by. I have been dosing just 10 mg at a time, missin my pills tho......
I had a pretty rough toothache tonight and I thought of this thread. So heres what I did. I started by calling my dentist, or as I like to call him, my smack therapist. He prescribed me to a shot of novocaine, or H for short. After two good sized bags of novocaine, and remembering to floss daily, I kissed my toothache goodbye as I nodded off to Santa's Land.
picked up my 6 5mg percs from the dentist today, also nabbed up 3 more 40 mg methadone wafers, just in case for next time, they actually held me over pretty well, and other than missing the actual getting them out of the bottle and crushing them, i feel pretty good......although i need to get this shit in check, im prescribed almost 400 pills a month there is no reason i should be running out.....my foot and ankle feel ok, back little sore, but im not working, so less pain, could be a false positive.....just thought id post this Opiate thread has been dead this weekend, lol, the world must be short on pills.....stay up peeps!
F a tooth ache, lol, i tried to use my teeth pulling to get a dr appt at my PM dr earlier than monday, no luck, i need to see when my insurance is gonna run out from my union hall, and im gonna set up an appt. to get them yanked out....lucky for me it hasnt came back (knocks on wood)
