    Perhaps I wasn't clear...

What is it that he can do for you that would make you happy?

Saying, at least fight blah blah blah, isn't answering it... You have no clue what he is or isn't trying to get done as you aren't there.

In real concrete terms, what can he do for you?

What is it that will make you happy?

Not, if he was a magical being with super powers he would fix everything...

Something real... You want him to repeal don't ask don't tell? HOW????

You want him to fix the economy? HOW?

You want him to change the way government works? HOW?

Also, you still didnt answer my earlier question.

Would you replace Obama with Bush?

    edited to add...

oh, and if you can't find your own words, ask that other person to come post here for you...

That's what makes it even more frustrating, he should've went for one year, two years just falls into the GOP plan more. Think how quick Obama will fold in 2 years from now when Republicans control the house, especially when it's an election year and the only tax bill the Republican house will put forward is extending all of them.

He could've had the DoJ not appeal the ruling on DADT, he could've done the same when courts ruled the defense of marriage act was unconstitutional, he could've put up more than 6 hours of fight in regards to the tax cuts and held firm at not extending them past $1 million in exchange for a smaller estate tax to please the Republicans. It would've at least been an actual pragmatic battle vs putting his tail between his legs. He could've prosecuted less in one year the number of leakers that Bush prosecuted in 8 years. Hell he could've stuck to something simple like allowing 5 days of public comments on the white house's website before signing them. Also I'm gonna try seeing into the future and say he will put near no effort into getting START or the DREAM act passed before the lame duck ends.

And no, I wouldn't want Bush over Obama, but at this rate Obama might be the 1st sitting president in a while to actually face a serious primary threat. The issue is Obama's constant disappointment of his base is just going to lead to more GOP pickups come 2012. It's one thing to lose because you never had a chance, it's another to just give up. Democrats are pissed at him over the place, independents already showed their disproval at the polls last month and Republicans think he's a muslim communist. So who exactly is Obama trying to represent anymore.

Yeah and next year the democrats will be the minority party and they can do the same exact thing, but instead he had it placed to expire during the election season in 2012 when the Democrats will be forced to sign off on extending the tax cuts when Republicans bring it up right before the election if they don't want another ass kicking

You didn't once answer how you expect him to do any of those things.

Seems you keep missing it... let me sum it up in a simple question for you.

How do you expect him to do anything, when he can't get anything out of the filibuster stage?

He could have fought for more then 6 hours? I see... I apologize...I get it now... You don't want him to do anything, as long as he makes it look like he is trying...

Yes, I will admit, I'll go along with you here, I would much prefer our leaders made themselves look busy banging their heads against walls...

This issue of tax cuts has been an ongoing one since they were brought in, it is has only heated up in the last little while.

You make comments about the past two years as to him having total control in both house and senate... You know... its odd that you would say something like that... I had thought the house and the senate was made up of state representatives that were there to help their own states... I didn't realize that they were there just to suck the presidents cock and say yes sir whatever you want...

See, this is another hold over from the bush era... just because Bush pushed shit through the house that he wanted to with no regard to anything else, you seem to think that is how leaders should act... Even though you bitched about him doing it during his stint (would you like me to go find links showing you doing this?) as pres...

Now, you have a pres that lets his party vote as they are supposed to (to represent their constituents), you want him to rule with an iron fist and make them all do what he wants...

Here is a hint... If you set impossible standards, expect to be disappointed.

    He had it placed...

    WHAT CHOICE DID HE HAVE?

The republican party said, "All the american citizens can go fuck themselves and rot for all we care, we won't pass anything except extending the tax cuts for two years for everyone"

And you keep blaming Obama for it...

Why does your country (and the world) keep getting worse?

You let it by playing these games...

Wait but we have no choice but to let it get worse. And that is not sarcastic, because the points you raise seem to be a pretty clear reality. It definitely seems 2008 was only a dream for the voters anyways, and even at my tender young age I wasn't expecting a change from any politician, otherwise I wouldn't have carelessly voted third party. You can tell Obama is the same person he said he was, but no, no we can't. He's stressed by things, I imagine.

Ive seen people at each others throats.. "Where the fuck were going to get the money?" ive heard the mention of suicide from someone else.. "When the UE runs out I dont know what Im going to do?" people that ask me where I work, if they are hiring>?...... Now please, I barely have a job there myself. Though some the lumpers being there for a while probably make more than me... some rigs $150.00 to unload they might get 3 back to back:

Id save me lots of money if I quit smoking tobacco, then the tax on that would go up more for you all.. cause more and more people are forced to quit, making less money for uncle jackass..

lol, I understand what you mean, but I just don't get it.

Will we let it get worse? Yes...

Do we have no choice in that? Not even close... we have choices each and every day in which we decide what we will allow in the world around us.

Many choose to... what's the phrase.... try to fit in... go with the flow... don't rock the boat... and for those who go against that?... hell, attack them, how DARE they choose to stand out!

I guess the only question is how much worse do we have to let it get before the majority of people start making conscious decisions and stop waiting for someone else to fix it all for them.

Well- perhaps he was taking into account the ensuing gridlock in one year would likely see the long term unemployed fall off the rolls because partisan bickering and filibustering would prevent anything from being crafted that he would consider signing and that would be a bigger liability to his campaign than the current "compromise" an asset to the Repugs.

I really don't see how taking a no compromise stand now would work in his favor now with the electorate. If folks have been off the unemployment rolls for a year and still no work they are not going to re-elect a sitting president whether or not their plight is his doing.

Personally I think he's fated to be a one-termer anyway and it has a LOT to do with the mess he inherited from criminal Bush and the criminal banks.

I also don't get it. Even though I took the point from you, I << Still think that there ISN'T anything substantial that can be done to change the way of things. I posted my facebook status about this bullshit, does that count? No, no one gives a fuck about status', and only the people that already care about this shit. There isn't much to do... We don't have a draft, Bush didn't send anyone off to die, as legal aged adults they volunteered to be in the military.

If they didn't understand, that volunteering to join the military, might mean you may get shot at deserve the darwin award.

Good people stood up to volunteer for what they thought was a good thing based on lies Bush told...

If that doesn't bother you then you deserve the darwin award.

Even before the lies were told by the Bush administration and before the wars were started, good people stood up and some joined the guard in an effort to help out their home states with events such as floods. They didn't realize that the guard would be made into a back-door draft for use of troops overseas to such an unprecedented extent. The governors put up a valiant fight to try to prevent the White House from doing this but couldn't stop it.

    VERY good point.

They knew a draft would wake the population up faster than they bargained for.

What about the TENS of TRILLIONs of dolars that the republicans put us in debt. And they did a lot of it by just plain out lies and deciet as well as just plain out thievery. Billions of dollars in CASH delivered to American hands and dissapeared in Iraq when we had no right to even be there killing and maiming innocent children and calling it COLATERAL DAMAGE. While the republicans and their henchmen in the white house decided to let the most horrific terrorist in American history escape to appease their buddies who are related to OSAMA BINLAUDIN but control a lot of oil. The only times in modern history that has had millions of Americans going homeless have been when the republicans were getting their way in government , meaning Regan and Bush.
