I began to realize in middle-school that I liked other females. Now that I am in college I have only ONE male who I have affection for, otherwise any relationship I would be interrested in would have to be with a female. Is this unusual?

Why would that be unusual?? You've already said you realised you liked females.

Yes, I believe you are the first female in human history to like other females in that way

I mean to have an attraction to females but feel affection for ONE male.

And I'd be willing to bet that one male has a strong female quality of some sort, whether it be outward appearance, temperament or sensitivity> Notice how you say affection rather than attraction.

Androgyny can be really cool, I'm not just talking about those in the middle - the is that a guy or a girl? types, I mean extremes at the end, the big scary looking guy thats actually a big softy, the cute petite girl that has some extra agro to her

Even your chosen sig pic tends to suggest you are strongly motivated by that feminine power thing, and I dont mean in a burning bras or wanting to take up kickboxing way, but in the age old Isis,Aphrodite,Venus, Lakshmi or even Mother Nature, representations of deitys of love, creation, nuturing

I think you'll find its guys with at least one female quality at its extreme that will be the ones that do your head in the most, outside all the females you will encounter

Not weird at all. Maybe he's just your type and the only guy you know of that type. Or maybe you just have a long-standing connection with him that defies gender. I definitely have a long-standing relationship with a few people that stood the tests of my sexual orientation confusion / journey. It happens. You're normal. :)

To be honest- I have both affection and physical attraction to him and I am not so sure why.
He's very tall and masculine, and rarely shows any sort of sensitivity unless we are alone together. I also adore his talent and creativity. He is in two bands (Screaming Mechanical Brain and Just Say Yes if you want to hear them) and writes all their material himself. He is a published author as well. I find creativity extremely sexy :)
Perhaps that is his "feminine trait"...?

Errr...no, I was talking about stuff more basic, that would have to do with him himself. And that doesnt sound like it

You'll probably hit me over the head for this, but it just sounds like he's the only guy in your life hot enough for you, hence the confusion

To be honest- I've seen many more males who would be "hotter"... I just find them unattractive, unremarkable, and generally less than sexy. Men (no offense) totally disgust me physically. To me touching a man is a very unnatural and alien feeling.
