It's like that old pick up line: Do you have a little Indian in you? No. Would you like a little Indian in you? Stay Brown, Rev J
Actually I miscalculated I'm only about a quarter American Indian so sue me. But it is the real story of my blood line. Stay Brown, Rev J
I had granola and organic milk for breakfast, and watched a documentary on the poisons of factory farms. Then a choir of barefoot angels came down and dubbed me queen of the hippies.
people call me a hippie because i have long hair, smoke pot, listen to stereotypical hippie music such as the grateful dead, care about human suffering, love being out in nature, ive been known to literally hug trees when the spirit moves me..i'm happy go lucky, always smiling, and i'm nice to everyone i meet. i also run around with a big pack of long haired guys and dreaded girls, and a bunch of dogs. for these reasons i'm called a hippie. i dont ever really refer to myself as a hippie.
hippie is so broadly defined... some say the only real hippies were the hippies during the 60s, but I think its more of a positive and free outlook on life and open mindedness, and a certain peacefulness while still not taking bullshit from anyone.
I think you answered your own question there Shauna I agree with ChronicTom, it's mostly about having ideals and values, combined with being laid back. The drugs and personal appearance are more peripheral.
I agree with the above poster. I think I'm a hippie because I believe I have loving and peaceful harmony with people & nature and follow many of the ideals I also have long hair, listen to many 60s/70s bands and have a positive view on life.
