i just wanted to make a thread to say that my heavy ciggarette habit has officially invaded my lsd headspace(for the worse). FUCK cigarettes! time to quit smoking.
i only smoke if i'm doing cocaine or if i'm smoking weed and it's offered to me. or super high stress.
on hbw i was disgusted by my habit but it returned right after my trip. One more thing Why is the trip so different every time? last time i tripped on HBW was soo trippy and astral Does anyone know does smoking and lifestlye influence the trip and the effects. I'm considering about quitting every major unhealthy habit in order to experience something more spiritual
yes your lifestyle influences the trip. that would fall under the 'set' part of set and setting. set and setting. it's funny how these two words can so adequately give guidance over something as complicated as the psychedelic experience.
I have a really nasty chain smoking habit when Im on a acid. I burn through a pack every trip. It's kind of like a nervous compulsion. One time I went out and sat in my car and put on some live dead show. I stared at the same spot and smoked about 15 cigs without even realizing I was doing it. It could have been 30 minutes or 3 hours, I really have no idea. But the outside of my door was completely covered in cigarette ash the next day.
ive done pretty much the same thing. but i wasnt in my car. was listening to the dead as well but was sittin on the ground starring off into the cow pastures that surround my house.
yea i've chainsmoked tons while dosed before. but i'm starting to realise that cigarettes really don't do anything but impact lsd in a negative fashion. perhaps it's just personal preference, but cigs seem to cause a stimulant type overtone to my trip which doesn't really do anything but hinder the psychedelic effects.
No body will believe me anyways.. But smoking tobacco is like taking a small hit off an aerosol Duster.. It knocks the winds out of you,, Many times when smoking you tip over to catch your breath while coughing. Most people become so used to Tobacco that they no longer cough.. Thus remaining upright.. Tipping over makes the mouth lower the lung cavity. Therefore Air can enter without the need to need to breath on your own. Actually a cough is like a seizure and the electrical mechanism of the human body create energy to expel the toxin inhaled. If you was totally passed out you may have convulsions .. also an electrical mechanism to restart the organs necessary for life.. So in fact each time you inhale tobacco, you are in fact suffocating yourself with a toxic substance. nicotine is the addictive chemical your body seeks, but there are many other components to tobacco smoke that the body consumes, even though you exale smoke.. the molecules of a thousand other elements are going into your body and brain.. In the same way a Duster GAS enters the blood stream creating a disoriented feeling. Over time the small amount of gas will become more and more and gradually you will become more and more used to it... tipping over less and hence the same addiction pattern and behavior could be found with those huffing inhalants and those that smoke tobacco.. It could be proven more stably if tobacco users behavior and huffers were monitored more closely. The Medical and Mental health care community seems to be less involved in with chemicals that are legally purchased by consumers.. Furthermore mental heath and addiction treatment centers often refers patients as the consumer. But it seems their ability to make you consume more deadly substances is forever on the rise, as they condition you with psychotropic drugs. Turn you into their robots, where youre biting your nails and chain smoking 20 packs, and huffing port authority emissions, jumping bus to bus getting to the next nut doctor.. Its ok they'll give you bus tickets for the TRIP.. :dizzy2:
