My brother is an apprenticing carpenter, you do have to do the schooling as well as the hours to get your papers.

I was a union carpenter here in the states and that wasn't true when I joined, it may be now though. They may even count your schooling as work hours.
I had a lot of experience before I joined anyway. My father was a carpenter.

Yeah, I don't know all the different stuff for Canada. I just know my brother had to go to school.

 

For real. I would never trust my living to that... What if someone broke in? Or some of it flew out the window? Or went down the sink and into the garbage disposal? Or got swept up in something and thrown away? That's way too important to just leave around like it's no big thing.
