I've had Windows 7 for a couple months now and it works fine except for two things: Network Settings and File sharing are a ****ING nightmare!! I've searched and searched and tried every tip but nothing works. I like to switch between my router's internet and my wifi adapter, in XP all I have to do is go to Network Connections and Disable the adapter I don't want. In Win 7 I can only use my wifi adapter by rebooting my computer with the adapter connected and my ethernet cable physically unplugged. Very inconvenient and I still don't get the Realtek wifi setup application that XP has with all the signal meters and wifi options! Simple file sharing used to be so easy with XP, my other PC's and even my Xbox would pick up SMB shared folders no problems at all. No way will they find or connect to win 7 shared folders. I've tried the wizards, disabling firewall, tried to connect to the IP... nothing works. I can't even get an Xbox 360 to connect to win 7 Media center, I'm supposed to see an 8 digit code on my 360/media Center? Nope, 360 can't detect win 7 either! I have a dual boot for XP which I use is I want to share video and music with my other computers/xbox. This is clearly not ideal and I'm getting sick of it. Does anyone have a REAL solution or guide, or application that fixes win 7 networking/Sharing??
:mickey:.. its pissing me off dragging, takes my files and when I drag them to locations, It dumps them where ever it feels like it.. My pic, music, videos, have never been so disorganized. Split screen dont work properly either..
