Does anyone ever keep in contact with their exes? It just bothers me how you spend all this effort to be with someone, say all these things, then just drop and kill it the moment you break up...
its the lesbian way to have a best friend who's an ex. except for me.. i dont keep my exes that close. i feel like what ive had with my exes played itself out and there is no need to have some creepy symbiotic relationship anylonger. anyway, if this is a recent ex give it time. im sure that sooner rather than later the two of you will be best friends and setting one another up on blind dates.
i personally can't be friends with an ex. especially if i am still in love with the person after it ended... it's too hard and it hurts too bad.

It depends heavily on how things went near the end of the relationship in question. I've got several exes with whom I'm still friends, but I've also got an ex who I have deliberately cut off all contact with and would call the cops on if I ever see him again. In most cases, I'm happy to continue being friends with my exes. The aforementioned guy is about the only exception, really. Even my ex who cheated on me with a guy, I'd still be friends with, if that same guy hadn't convinced her that I'm some horrible pervert for liking Lord Byron's poetry.
