Thanks to the Federal Stimulus program, the nation's biggest polluters have been given a free pass to pollute to their heart's desire. This cannot be good for the US environmental health. http://www.publicintegrity.org/articles/entry/2565/
i'm doing my part to contribute [burning barry in effigy] this, after walking for three hours through snow drifts in soggy shoes with a bunch of cat food, groceries and books in a backpack - to avoid creating the relatively paltry amount of pollution my three minutes of driving would have created argh...
oh jeez I can relate... at least I have a bicycle though... I do my grocery shopping that way, but it can be heavy, not to mention lugging library books around too.
i have a bicycle too, but there's unplowed snow drifts everywhere, and i'm trying to stay vertical . . . :biker:
agreed. It started snowing here, so far its not too bad, but I know in a bit I'll have to start walking.
sucks about the OP. not that i'm surprised. can't expect much from the fucks in charge. i ride my bike to work everyday. rain, shine, or snow. the winter months are exciting. i'm in western new york so we get a lot of snow from the great lakes. i take my car to the grocery store though.
Isn't this what they said when they bailed out the banks and other failing companies? They do all this shit in the name of "Capitalism and Democracy" and completely go against everything and everyone to bail out these (rightfully) failing GigantoCorps, then wonder why there aren't enough jobs when there are only like 5 Corporations running things.
