So basically my question is how much SSRI's really affect an acid trip. Ive done acid two times so far and I've LOVED it. Before I did acid I was prescribed to 10mg of celexa to help out with my mood. Before each trip I would make sure to stop taking celexa at least 3 days before hand. Both of the times I only did 1 hit (friend has a blotter sheet) and felt great. Colors are vivid and around 3 hours in I was having some pretty strong visuals. All I have read about is how SSRI's completely ruin an acid trip. People are saying to wait a month after getting off of SSRI's because they would greatly weaken the trip. Now I have looked up that the half life for celexa is about 36 hours or so. I currently have 3 tabs in my possession and I'm wondering... Should I just skip taking celexa for a couple days and trip this weekend...or wait a month and sell the tabs? Thanks
friend of mine was on snri's for several months. after abstaining from the snri's for about 3 or 4 months, up to 3 grams of rather potent shrooms have little effect. do not know if this is an individual case or due to the previous medications.
That's weird... Although I believe SSRI's are a completely different drug. People just claim it weakens the trip but I'm not sure how much it will affect me. I'm on a fairly low dose of SSRI's, people are usually on 60mgs or 80mgs but i'm on 10mgs
It must be on a case by case basis. My friend obstained from taking an SNRI (8 hour half life) the night before a shroom trip and we took only 2 grams each the next morning and both tripped hard for 2 grams. I know thats not exactly what you asked but I hope that helps.
