Pretty soon my friend will be getting about 5 hits of really good acid, im planning on doing 2 hits. I have done shrooms a couple times but i was wondering some of the differences between them? For the trip we'll be in my other friends basement, he'll be our sitter. Im going to let the trip happen but i wanna try and go outside and do other things, like draw listen to music and anything else i feel to be interesting, is there anything else anyone recomends i should do? the trip will be at night.
OK, first I cannot recommend acid unless you are totally OK with hallucinogens. Some strong pot brownies are a god precursor. Also, my last acid trip was a number of decades ago... some were good, some bad. Being in a public setting, like a normal party... is bad! I swear to God.. one party before the peeps showed up, I was already tripping on blotter, and an owl flew in the open door, circled around the apartment a few times, and flew out. I spent the rest of the evening announcing the owl to all guests coming in.. they thought I was nuts. The other time it was with a good friend, and we walked around outside in the middle of the night laughing at just about anything. It was a better setting, but nearly impossible to get to sleep that night. The next few days I felt like crap. don't do it unless you have several days ahead of you that can be spent being worthless. lol.
Yes i am completely ok with hallucinogens. Ive had good visuals and done phsycadelics. As for the setting like i said, ill be with my two friends, one who will be doing one hit and the other will be sober watching over us. When you walked with your friend was it a bonding experience? The friend im tripping with we've been friends for a long time now and have done our fair share of drugs. How bad did you feel the next few days, bad like you didnt wanna get out of bed?
For me the big difference between shrooms and acid are the way i feel. I find i can relax much easier on shrooms than acid. Where as acid i want to be alittle more active. I get a much more pronounced feeling of oneness with the earth with shrooms.. For me the best thing on shrooms is a clear night laying in the grass starring at the stars(still pleasant on acid), where as acid i like to be more active. Keep in mind though this is just personal preference and a couple of my friends are like this and a couple are not. I really have no problem being in public either. Although it is not high on my list of things i want to be doing(tripping or sober) i wouldn't say its BAD. I think it is more fun to be with people that are tripping, makes you less likely to feel stupid. All in all bro, if your cool with mushies you should have no problem at all with acid. I would definitely go outside, draw, and listen to music. Maybe all 3 at once!! As far as the next day the only problems i have had are from my inability to fall asleep after acid. I usual fall asleep well after the sun has come up. So if you have something to do the next day the biggest thing i would worry about is getting enough sleep. Let us know how it goes.
It was a bonding experience. He knew I was a bit hesitant because of my bad experiences with acid at the parties, like one chick coming up to me and saying "Talk to me. I want to know what somebody on acid is like." WTH did she want me to say? Anyway, the only thing I recommend is that to crash out with your friends if possible. Me and my bro had to part because he lived with his parents and I had an apartment. Tried to sleep but couldn't and was getting really tired but my mind kept going. Couldn't really think straight for a few days, but it probably had to do with the lack of sleep as much as the after effect. In other words, don't do it the night before you have to wake up and go to work in the morning.
