I was referring to the background of September 11th... It's theoretical either way if the Government did or did not know ahead of time. We'll never really know...but I have to say the case for 9/11 benefiting the Bush administration seems very plausible considering the WAR CRIMES the administration is responsible for.

Seriously, nobody is forcing anybody to fly. I'm more ticked off that I had to go get passports (hassle and $$$) for my whole family just to cross the border that had never been a problem before.

People aren't inclined to follow through with their anger at the government when they are conditioned to accept whatever "easy answer" is offered up- often involving the ineffectual "joy buzzer" elections where our short political attention spans are placated by the fallacy that "voting the bums out" will solve the problem- despite decades upon decades of demonstrable proof that it won't. Our political machine is well oiled with corporate money to the point where just about any party endorsed candidate has already been bought off, virtually ensuring that replacing an incumbent who is up to his eyeballs in corruption won't make one iota of difference. Once we've elected new thugs we fail to follow up on their doings once they've sworn their empty oaths and have joined the criminal syndicate commonly known as congress.... you know, the legislative arm of the corporate world.

Legislators are throw away clay pigeons to their corporate overlords- but serve the critical purpose of focusing public anger away from the real power brokers.

If you're not dumb, and don't lack comprehension skills, then my English is just fine. Obviously I was a little fucked up and I used alternative/silly terms and phrases, but if you can't understand their place that is your own fault. I don't write threads conscious of others incapabilities.

 

If you are marching toward what most assume to be the centers of power you are marching in the wrong direction.

Thank you for informing me there are different words and phrases I could have used. Your ideas for bettering something for comprehension is subjective, and does not deny still that my English is fine and understandable for all extents and purposes of hipforums discussion. I see what you're getting at, but you're still not really hitting any nails on the head with correcting for a formal essay style that's taught in English composition, in the first year of colleges in NY state. You're just being compulsive with your opinion on my writing style, that hardly makes an idiot out of me.

In formal essay English, it is incorrect to start sentences with but.

Still that was fun. Good effort Frenchie, but I guess the stereotyped image of the French as pretentious may seem believable in this case. When something is misunderstood, it must be the other person's fault. Right?

To be fair Stinkfoot there has been a lot of personal attacks on this thread. Mainly because it was a stupid post in the first place, I completely re-vised it and removed my original point. The only strange thing is the criticism I got wasn't even addressing the true silliness of my point.
