Hi Yall - Looks like I finally figured out how to post here so maybe I'll join in on the forums. It's lonely out here, being the freak on the block. I fell and broke my right foot recently so I'm unable to drive for a while, thus stuck at home most of the time. It's the most wonderful time of the year, amiright? :grinch:
Hey there! Tell us more about yourself. If I were king of the world, I would make everyone wear a cast one week out of the year so that we'd all have to keep our cars parked and we could see the world at a slower pace. Getting chilly here in Georgia, but one more frost will zap the skeeters and gnats until next spring. The oak trees are just beginning to change color, the other trees are naked now.
I'm a single mom of 3. (19, 18 & 7) It's getting harder, it seems, to be us, here in the buckle of the bible belt. I've been raising them to be strong individuals and they certainly are! Got thrown for a loop about 3 years ago by a divorce. We're basically agnostic heathens in sheeps clothing, so to speak. Not pretending to be something we aren't, but not pushing our views on others. Peace is my mantra...and now my pipe is clean. :sifone:
Now I am sort of an expert on driving with one foot as I have broken 11 bones. You only need one foot to drive. You are supposed to use the same foot for the break and the gas.
I do drive with one foot - the one I broke. My car is an automatic so there's not much for the left foot to do. I am not coordinated enough to work the pedals with my left foot and the folks at the hospital told me it is illegal (yikes!) to drive with a broken right foot. My 18 yr. old son is my chauffeur until I am mended. It's useful too when I am "under the influence" of pain meds or other remedies. :dizzy2:
Ha! No iodine here - and I'm glad I only broke my foot, not my spine! Since I am in TN, I'll stick with the homegrown remedy. :hippy:

Howdy, I didn't know about the driving thing, I spent a good bit of time with my right leg in a full length cast and never any problems driving as long as I was by myself. I agree 100% about homegrown remedies. At any rate welcome, hope your foot heals soon.
