Oranges can be annoying. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZN5PoW7_kdA"]YouTube - The Annoying Orange .
Pomegranates are amazing! My brother likes to buy them when they're in season and he'll open it up and everything and I just have to go over to the house and sneak the seeds from the fridge.
The thinner skinned, hard to peel oranges usually are the valencia variety, those are generally considered to be juice oranges. Navel oranges are what you want for eating, they have the thicker skin, which is easier to peel. I just eat one earlier and it was very good. The sticker on it should say what type it is. Blood oranges are also considered for eating.
Good news, last night I picked up a crate of tangerines and a bag of grapefruit. I've had both this morning and they peel adequately to my skinned fruit expectations.
I try not to throw things when I'm angry, but some of those oranges that drove me to start this thread came really close to being thrown off my balcony.
Wow that really creeps me out. Sorry to bring up Seinfeld, but I love in an opening standup when he said people wouldn't be satisfied until they could grow ready-to-eat fruit cups right out of the ground. Our society really disturbs me. Back to the main topic, I don't like bananas because the peel really grosses me out. It immediately starts smelling bad I just want to get it away from me as quick as possible.
Have you ever bitten a banana peel? Most people think orange peels or lemon peels are bad, banana peels turn into chalky dust in your mouth. They're pretty terrible.
