1. Should I just embrace my "psychic" calling and go for it, or not? I don't know where the calling would take me and if it would be of any use for me to get into it. At the same time I feel "it's time" somehow. Can anyone see which way I should go - either just focus on other projects and let go of my frustrating ambition to do something in "psychic regard", OR make it an active part of my life also? 2. What would my direction and purpose in it be if I dive into the calling to see what is shown to me, etc.? Where do I start? 3. In my dreams I've seen a bird, a big one, about my size, that is very calm, speaks, and reminds me of a peacock, a phoenix and a rooster. Is there some significance to this bird? Is he one of my guides now? 4. A person I trust told us a while ago that my husband doesn't practically have an aura. Why would this be? Thank you kindly for any feedback. I've been thinking about the question #1 for months. I 110% welcome anyone's feelings on any of these questions and would love to hear what Old Crone has to say about this as well. I talked with her here maybe 8 or more years ago, as Lovewoods, and never forgot her
Regarding #1: Just do it. If it's what you do, what you're doing, it will be what it will be. No need to fret about it. If you love doing it and it's helping other people, then it's where you should be. If you're not doing it, then start doing it. Talk about it, do readings, learn more about it, give out your insights, and see what develops. If it's meant to be, it will grow organically. #2: What interests you? Do what fascinates you, and avoid what doesn't. And btw: This is one of the basic psychic principles. If you're not already cognizant of this, then you have more development ahead of you before you're ready to help others. Your personal desires are your guides. Know yourself, and you can then know others. Can't help you with 3 & 4.
Hi Omwoods Good to hear from you. I often wonder where those I have met here over the years are. Sometimes I think a family reunion would be nice so we could all catch up. Lets just jump in, ok. Question 1. Should I just embrace my "psychic" calling, OR make it an active part of my life also? Imagine getting ready to go to the store and trying to decide if you should leave your hearing, or your eyes home. Psychic ability is as much a part of every living thing, on what ever level they are interacting with their vibration, or connection to the world around them. We in this form have gotten lazy because psychic ability is not seen as necessary for survival. This time is coming once again. What the Mayans, Atlantis and other cultures understood was that until we open with vulnerability, first to our own hearts, we will never clearly see those around us. Because we have learned to live without respect, trust, and in fear we have shut down our own ability and strengths. Also imagine if while meeting someone they could see your every thought, could feel your judgments for, or against them. Imagine your perception being visible, and your life an open book. When you open to others…you are first open to your own awareness. This is why there are so many fakes, Wow psychics and a variety of abilities. Each individual opens an aspect of who they are and walks in their own integrity, or lack of depth, and comfort zones. Just Be Who you are. The more you open the more you are. Question; 2. What would my direction and purpose in it be if I dive into the calling to see what is shown to me, etc.? Where do I start? Calling this psychic ability a "Calling", is miss leading. Everyone is Psychic, just as everyone is here to grow. Answer three question for your self. 1. Who am I? 2. Why am I here? 3. What is my mission, or life purpose? When you define these in your life you will see others through this same awareness. You can imagine what is real. And you can imagine what is make believe. The difference is in the energy each embraces. Get out of the way of your fears and miss understandings. LISTEN! I know this woman who comes from a place of selfishness. She has to have things her way. She dis- likes anyone who does not serve some purpose for her. She has become just like her mother and sister who are self serving, jealous, and crazy. She loves men who will take care of her and live with her exclusive demands. She see’s everyone through this perception. In many ways she feels like a psychic vampire while she insist what she is doing is coming from a place of love. What I never understood before was she is living behind a wall of fear and loneliness. I saw this in her when I first began to open and see this wall in me. This changed the way psychic ability worked for me. Remember everything around you is both a teacher and a tool to help you see yourself. Everything also can become a weapon you use against others and yourself. How you see yourself is where you begin. Question 3. In my dreams I've seen a bird, a big one, about my size, that is very calm, speaks, and reminds me of a peacock, a phoenix and a rooster. Is there some significance to this bird? Is he one of my guides now? No, he is not one of your guides. What this is, is a symbol of transformation and a message to move beyond your comfort zones and into a place of trust. I once did a reading for someone involved in a court case. I saw them winning. They lost. This bothered me for years. They hated me and I felt rightfully so. What neither of us saw was the bigger picture. Neither of us saw that in their personal hell of loosing they became whole because this place showed them how to let go of toxic connections and move beyond their need to hold on. One can not embrace wholeness if their arms are filled with judgments, lack of focus, and lack of forgiveness. In the end I got over myself, felt better being humbled, and they became whole in their life. So the question is who won, and did anyone really loose? In a psychic reading the Spirit will go for the greater good even if we do not see it at the time. Question 4. A person I trust told us a while ago that my husband doesn't practically have an aura. Why would this be? Remember a reader comes from their own platform, or perception and understanding of what they feel symbols mean. Your husbands aura often is like a clear pool where a person see’s their own reflection. When a reader does not understand this aspect of auras they see this as having no aura, when in fact your husband has a wonderful aura that looks like a garden in the middle of a labyrinth. Still waters run deep and most do not see him for what he is. He is also seasonal like a garden and changes like landscapes during the year. Many aura readers do not go into the textures and, or grid patterns of an aura. They limit their view to the colors alone. The best way to begin see depth in an aura is to spend time blindfolded. This opens a different way of seeing inside you. Many of the stories in my personal forum speak of different ways of reading and seeing. So go back to journal writing and write in pictures what you know. As you come into balance and wholeness the energy of wellness will become a vibration around you that will draw others to you. As an example I was out with someone the other day getting things done. A trip that should have taken maybe 1 and ½ hours stretched into over three. Every place we stopped people needed to talk. So in stores, on the street, in the insurance office, where ever, people felt safe and drawn to us. When ever You open to who you are, you are opening others as well. When ever you are doing a psychic reading you are also reading some part of your self in this, or past, or future lives. When ever you enter judgment, love, peace, healing, selfishness, exclusiveness, joy, awareness, or a thousand other places, you are there to grow and learn to see with different eyes that which you think you know. Knowing this, you also find out that when you come from the human form alone you are separating your self from the work of Spirit within you. When the human form loves they come from a place of limits and fear with many wounds and miss-understandings, thus readings and love are limited. When the Spirit within comes from a place of Love there is wellness, wholeness and no fear. Thus the challenge is not how to do psychic things but how to live in and BE within your full awareness. Many psychics and healers think if they take on another s dis-ease, or drama they are showing they have power. This is a false and dangerous belief. Opening to your own ability is, and was never about power, but about Being One in Love without fear.
Hi Old Crone, thank you - all you said makes a lot of sense. Will go through it again.. Now I understand more clearly how psychic ability is natural for all. Before I thought that not everyone can "access" it, this time around. Just a matter of opening as you say. And being fearless. Being vulnerable, wrong, humble.. Learning to see things in new ways, as you say, "see with different eyes that which you think you know". Thank you! Love, Omwoods
Natural Philosophy, I'm typing this as I check 'evangelist' on the dictionary.. Ok.. This meaning: a zealous advocate of something sounds doable
this is kind of old but: in the spring issue of Scientific Review of Alternative Medicine (march 1998) there was an article that tested nurses who claimed they could see/feel auras. the test went like this: a patient sat down in front of the test subject. they fliped a coin and either put their arm in an opaque sleeve or they didnt put their arm the sleeve. when they saw the patient the test subjects were 100% correct. when the patient was screened from the test subjects view, their results went down to random. there was another interesting test made on the james randi show, its on youtube: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OZeQGld5QBU"]YouTube - James Randi Tests An Aura Reader so to answer your question, it is highly possible that the person who said your husband has no aura, cannot really see auras at all. evidence leans towards the possibility that the auras you speak of are non-existent.
You should know that it can be hard. I mean, if you're willing to risk making your life more complicated as a result, go for it. Trust is a key factor, I think. You have to be trusted with power. I don't think you'll ever see a psychopathic psychic. That is very odd. It would be unscientific to make assumptions about it, and I can't tell you. You have to keep seeing the bird and see what comes of it. I don't know much about auras or their functioning. Maybe his power is just so self-contained that not much gets out.
Your post highlights one of the greatest difficulties in my personal quest for truth. On the one hand there are so many claims in the realm of psychic practitioners for things that seem to me to really not exist - and I personally tend to think auras fall into this category. On the other hand there are genuine psychic phenomena, which I have personally experienced and verified, and which others with far greater gifts than mine have verified for me. This being the case, I would recommend to anyone embarking on the psychic/spiritual path: Don't believe everything you hear. Believe in what you yourself can experience and verify. In my experience, most people who claim to be psychic aren't. For the most part the true psychics look like ordinary people, and they don't reveal themselves unless you've committed yourself to a serious path of spiritual learning. There are a few genuine psychics who act more publicly to point people to the path, but their focus is on empowering you on your own path rather than impressing you with their own powers. In my first face to face encounter with a true psychic one day, after months of her responding out loud to my unvoiced thoughts from a distance, she told me quietly and humbly, "I used to have even more powers than I have now." And she went on, "Don't try to get powers. Just read the Bible and do what it says." You can practice and exercise psychic awareness to an extent. But the ultimate revelations of underlying reality come from commitment to a spiritual path.
Exactly. Because it requires that you undertake a spiritual path of learning, and learning requires lessons, and lessons require challenges.
