I read on the internet that spirit guides can take over our bodies in like a urgent situation like when you jump back or move to the side to avoid something from hitting you(You move without even thinking about it,If that makes sense?) If thats true then i guess my spirit guide saved me the other day? while i was loading the dishes in the dishwasher the other night i reached into the sink to grab a bowl and as i lifted it up my hand just instantly dropped it and jolted back and before i didn't even have time to realize what i did,I figured i must of had a random muscle spasm or something so i reached down again for the bowl then i get the feeling that i need to looked down and so i did and i realized there was a HUGE Hobo Spider in the sink. And it was getting ready to bite me.Thankfully i followed my gut feeling and looked down right? Hobo Spiders very deadly and aggressive. I personally hate spiders there so ugly and hairy and they got those creepy eyes that just stare at you.Eh i get the goose bumps just thinking of spiders.Wish they were dead. .Or at least not so weird and creepy looking right
Hi. Well spirit guide, intuition, what ever one wants to call it; I call it GOOD TO GET ONES HAND THE HELL OUT OF THERE. Looked up the Hobo spider...they are ugly too. This thing was in your sink; I hope you turned on the disposal and gave him a proper departure from this world. BB Mike
if it were true why stop at the spider? why not "tell" you something every time something bad was going to happen?
Ummm maybe cuz spirit guides are not robots? Ummm or maybe they go on coffee break sometimes...or maybe there's some bad stuff you need to experience for spiritual reasons...or maybe it wasn't a spirit guide - coulda been a knee-jerk psychic response...or it coulda just been coincidence that his hand pulled back of its own volition for no apparent reason at that particular point in time...
i completely agree with you. it could have been many things. maybe it was just a coincedence, maybe it was a spirit watching over him, but, like your post suggests, we will never know, so lets not assume anything.
I don't think it's true that we'll never know. However it's obvious that nobody on this thread knows what it is for sure. Could he have gotten a glimpse of the spider in the sink that registered in his autonomic nervous system before it registered in his conscious awareness? That's yet another possibility.
It's called a reflex. It happens when the brain sends messages so quickly that you don't get time to become conscious of the decision to take the action before it is carried out. It happens every day of your life without fail. It is there to protect you from threat. Without it, human beings wouldn't exist. You don't think about swallowing or breathing before you do it either. The brain can make the body act without you being conscious of the decision until after. Your eye registered the spider, probably just as a black blob, without you realising it had registered. The bowl-dropping action was perceived by your brain as far more important than making you conscious of the "threat", so it was carried out first.
Exactly. There's a primitive part of the brain that reacts to nerve impulses signaling danger before the impulses even reach the conscious part of the brain. Of course we don't KNOW this is what it was...however it seems an extremely likely explanation.
