So I've noticed that eating baked ganja treats for some reason has no affect on me.

I know I didn't get ripped off, because I usually get them from my BFF, who would never lie to me... plus, I've seen him and his friends get baked as hell off of the same batch of baked goods that what he gave me came from...

Every time I have tried ganja treats, I have not gotten high off them.

This morning I gave it one more try. I ate a weed brownie (also given to me by my BFF, who baked it himself and apparently used some really good dank to make them) at like 10:30 this morning, and now it's 3:00 and I have remained sober this entire time...

Is this abnormal??? Is there something wrong with me??

Yeah I know what you mean, I've only gotten high from eating weed food a couple times.. We even make butter, we don't just throw the weed in.

At my friends dad's house we always used to make Weed Rice Krispies but we haven't in a while.

Everyone else would get stoned except for me...

One time I woke up in the middle of the night at his house and I ate like 6 squares forgetting they were weed food... Then I remembered they don't work for me... I ended up falling right back asleep and then when I took a shit the next day it smelled like a grow op.

When I was a lot younger, like 13 and 14, I could get a buzz from eating ganja brownies. I don't anymore, though. It's best absorbed through the respiratory system than the digestive system anyway. It gets processed more by the stomach acid and the intestines pulling out all the nutritive value, before passing it along to be excreted from the body. Smoke, don't eat.

hmm.... So I'm not the only one? That's weird. I wonder what gives people an immunity to eating weed...

    whattttt

im going to say the mistakes have got to be either in A) the process he uses to make the baked goods B) the amount of weed to butter ratio or C) the quality of the cannabis (although not likely the culprit from what you've described) or D) the amount you are eating versus your tolerance level.

eating weed can get you EVERY bit as fucked up as smoking bongs, pipes, joints, etc.. i have been so god damn fucked up off eating cannabis baked goods that it felt more like i was fucking tripping than stoned.. and im an experienced pothead, i've been smoking weed (headies at that) for years on end now..

i think any of those reasons (or any combination of those reasons) are a far more likely culprit then "i cannot get high from eating cannabis!"... hate to say it, but perhaps you just havent done it properly yet, or ate a big enough dose.

also lets not forget eating weed and smoking it have noticably different effects. also remember that when taking cannabis orally, it is likely going to have a lower bioavailability, due to the results of extensive first pass metabolism. the liver tends to remove some of the active compounds of marijuana on first pass, as it enters your liver before the active drug metabolites enter your circulatory system..

also- totally different KIND of high. its not to be expected to be like a smoking high. i find eating is best for me to deal with pain. its more of a spreading, languorous type of high. when the pain is uber bad, the edibles get in deep to relieve it.

perhaps it is a metabolic thing that makes the edibles not work for you, maybe you are missing enzymes to break it down or something, or you just dont absorb it that way. every body is different.

Eating it creates a "body buzz," whereas smoking it causes more of a "head high."
