Stupid Miami Ravers!

It's Miami, there are very few of us who speak English as a first language.

 

It was shut down because these same kids you see in the video began climbing the gate, knocked down the gate, and stormed the event.

The organizers of this event were friends of mine... He knew he had 20,000 RSVP's on their facebook page and he should have been more prepared for the large crowds to come, but ultimately it was the reaction by these ravers to the police closing the gate.

I remember a rave I went to in 99 in Louisville called Teknosauras 6... Same kind of situation, but less disrespectful kids... Instead of storming the gate, we waited and all of us got in - it took an hour and half but all of us got in.

a shame that the police felt they had to shut the whole thing down because of a few idiots... at the same time, it is quite a responsibility your friend took on and doesn't sound like he had security sorted properly... hope he/she learned something from the experience

 

I would like to personally fucking punch every single one of those asshole kids who did that shit and ruined the entire event for everyone.

 

Yeah that happens every time I go to a rave as well, it doesn't bother me though because usually my eyes are in the back of my head and I'm dancing my ass off, lol. If you come to Miami you are guaranteed to have a creepy foreigner hit on you at some point.:2thumbsup:

Last year during Art Basel, We went to a Ghostly International party with M.A.N.D.Y - MY boyfriend and I were one of like 7 English speakers there. I was completely in another realm on some fine blotter and these Puerto Rican guys were fucking with me... They followed me around shouting things in spanish and I wasn't sure why, what they were saying, or even what was going on. One of them followed me into the bathroom and kept poking me in the back while I was pissing. To this day, I'm still not sure what the fuck was going on or what, if anything, that man was trying to tell me.

did those people that waited for teknosaurus 6 all have tickets? and did the people that raided the gates at this miami festival have tickets? i can see how its disrespectful that these people didnt want to pay for tix that just stormed in, but this event was free right? i still think it comes down to poor planning if theyre slowly funneling people in, and/or there isn't enough space for everyone.

but if its a free show, i don't really get why gates would be up, the ravers are storming them, and why the police would be stupid enough to shut it down. i can see that scenario if people had to buy tickets though

 

im definitely bound to go back sometime during winter break...i danced so hard last night, holes formed through my socks....i love dancing with all the fucking energy in me...lets hope it works.

Everyone had to check in at the gate. Backpacks must be searched and they were actually taking donations there as well
The Fire Marshall was on site and the people had to be counted. Indoor and Outdoor Stages had reached capacity and there were 9 total stages.
