So I've been doing quick drawings of people on the train for about a year and a half. Just on my way to work or school. Also in coffee shops and in class. So I had thrown away a few sketchbooks in the past, but I decided to take the fat stack of sketchbooks on my bookshelf and scan the portraits from the past year. I started a blog devoted to these quick portraits and it is called Faces of Boston and you can check it out if you want. I'm updating twice a day for the next month at least. Here are a few... comments are welcome... also linking to my blog is much appreciated... thats http://facesofboston.tumblr.com
it might be neat to draw them and then pass them the drawing just as you (or them) are leaving the train (unless you want to keep them of course)
thanks for the encouragement... its nice to hear from strangers. sometimes i think my friends and family are just stroking my ego so i dont quit art and become a lifeless salmon. BBAD: ive actually done that... and its not as rewarding as keeping them and looking at them later. nor as rewarding as sharing them with others on the internet. id be sad if i knew they threw it out or lost it in a pile of papers. it means a lot more to me than them, plus they can find it on the internet now! i might just keep a business card with the web address and give that to them instead. good idea!
