NYT budget deficit project(game)

    It's that time of year again, another game/graph thing for what mix of spending cuts/tax increases you'd use to balance the budget if possible. Not every possible idea is available, only the big options that are current proposals being studied as possible solutions. So give it a whirl and list what you did to try to balance it and what your final result in terms of money saved was. You should be able to just link your final results.

    55% tax increases
    45% spending cuts

    Fun thing is this version doesn't let you finish and share until you kill the deficit. I had to agree to a bunch of things I didn't want to.

    i solved the deficit

    69% tax increases
    31% spending cuts

    not 100% sure about some of my choices, i'm very hungry right now

    and, of course, it would never work that way in real life . . .
